The u650 is a 1X only device, No EVDO, It doesn't have Soulb's navigation key, It's just a brush stainless steel ala LG VX8700 slider.

You people are so ridiculous! You think you can tell these people to go somewhere else like VW is your company. If you're an actual VW employee and this was how you dealt with walk-in customers who wanted a better phone you would probably be fired on the spot. And if you weren't, morons like you would run a perfectly good company into the ground. New amazing phones are coming out for every company and all Verizon adds are these mid-level phones? What do you expect people to say when they are probably paying more than they would with any other major carrier?

Sorry, I don't work for Volskwagon? I don't know where the mix up is there? Oh did you mean VZW? Oh okay, I see what you what you mean. Anyways, obviously I don't treat a customer like that over the phone or in-store. However, a very good portion of our customer's who leave, come back in 30 days. You can argue, but the statistics are there. Now, I do agree to an extent that VZW crippling there phones is retarded and we could use a better line-up. People are actually okay with most phones, tits the high end tech junkie phones that I think we could majorly improve on. Just give it time or enough customer complaints and we'll see how things change.

That was pretty stupid Anomalies. You're dumb if you didn't know he meant Verizon Wireless when he wrote VW.

obviously he knew what he meant by VW...why bother pointing out blatant sarcasm

VZW is by far the worst for releasing new handsets. WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? If a crappy company like Sprint can release new phones (smartphones that is), why can't Verizon do it? It took HOW LONG for the 6800 to come out compared to the Sprint version? We'll be lucky to see the Touch Diamond and the Touch Pro by the end of Q1 2009. VZW handsets really suck.

15. Anomalies posted on 02 Sep 2008, 13:04

Did I say anything about our handsets not sucking? Yeah I agree some of them blow. But I was talking about networks retard. Next time you respond, actually read the post before looking like an idiot. kthx

abrasive much?

32. (unregistered) posted on 03 Sep 2008, 00:18

Sprint releasing phones sooner than VZW doesnt exactly seem to be working for them. Come back and post again when Sprint is still releasing phones right away and they are no longer in the red. Meaning that they simply lose more customers than they add every quarter. I dont know. Coincidence?

No one was talking directly to you.

vzw makes you attach an IV to your wallet..enough said..ATT is 60/40 across the board with service/coverage...tmobile..is a bit spotty but they will be 3g by the end of the year in LA I think which should up the towers being built.

20. (unregistered) posted on 02 Sep 2008, 13:29

you get what you pay for in the cell phone industry. if you want quality, then you pay for it. its not a difficult concept to grasp. VZW has different phones at all price ranges as well as price plans. what kills me is when people complain about how expensive VZW is, when ATT (our only real competition) is pretty much the EXACT same.

Every company comes out low end, mid level, and high end phones because all consumer's needs are different. You are right, Verizon does strip down some of their devices. But that doesn't mean that they are still terrible phones. If anything Verizon's phones work better because they test the crap out of their phones before they release them. Verizon is not a reactive company, they are a proactive company. Companies like Sprint and AT&T decide on which phones to carry and push them to the market as quickly as possible without testing the device first (i.e. iPhone 3G, Mogul, and just about every low and mid level phone on Sprint). I would rather have a phone that is tested and working properly when I go to purchase and not have to worry about buying a crappy phone.

It's real funny how you people like Sprint so much and think they have great customer service. They lost almost 1 millioini customers last quarter if they continue to do that you will have to switch.

21. rj04 (unregistered) posted on 02 Sep 2008, 13:55

I think Sprint is still salvagable. They have been working on customer service, have a great everything plan and have been releasing some really innovative phones. Just about every review I read on the Instinct said it was ovarall a better phone than the Iphone except that the Iphone would win the comparison because of the Apple logo. What? Now they're releasing the Diamond and then the Touch Pro next month. Those are two of the best phones ever made to date. All that being said I don't use Sprint but they are either on a great rebound or doing a good job of making the company look profitable to potential buyers. VW, or VZW just to be clear, is a good company. They wouldn't have so many subscribers if they weren't but they need to get on the ball with that open headset alliance thing. The sooner they start putting out phones that rival the competitions new offerings the less complaints they will have to deal with.

27. (unregistered) posted on 02 Sep 2008, 18:51

#21 - You must have ignored all the complaints about the Instinct then. It had as many if not more than the iPhone 3G and we all should know by now how many complaints the iPhone 3G has had.

33. (unregistered) posted on 03 Sep 2008, 00:22

not if they keep hiring black guys with tattoos on there necks and arms. seriously, I went into a store with my friend to get his bill fixed and the guy said this, "oh and we get paid on surveys now so if you get a call please give me a 5" Are you kidding me? They will never turn it around! They are dead!

28. vzw "fanboy" (unregistered) posted on 02 Sep 2008, 19:55

what is wrong with people...who chooses a cell phone company just for the CELL PHONE? its all about what the company offers, coverage and if your willing to pay...i cant believe how many people say they are swtiching to different carriers based on their phones!.... anyways, verizons upcoming phones look very promising. remember everyone, vzw is the leading carrier based on costumers, and personally i would base them number one on features and what they have to offer too. even if they do "cripple" their phones. if your poor dont go verizon go tmobile..haha lol

35. (unregistered) posted on 03 Sep 2008, 01:17

I do. I mainly care about the phone and its features. Hate me if you want to but if features didn't matter, then why are there so many freaking phones coming out per month if all that mattered to people was reaching other poeple. And if I get all drop call, I do is call right back. I never use to get dropped calls when I was in Verizon, but Verizon's sucky phones drove me away. When I get a dropped call, I hear two beeps to alert me that the call was dropped. So then I call back and in less than two seconds the phone is answered and we continue the conversation. Its not that bad. Every body makes it seem like the world is going to end when there is a dropped call. I didn't always have full coverage with Verizon (in my high school classes and locker room) and I didn't have signal with AT&T when I was taking summer college classes, but neither of these cases bothered me. Maybe my age is the reason why I'm not so anal and crazy about best coverage, best signal, and all that. I'd rather have Verizon since most of my family has it but I don't mind being with AT&T for the iphone. *If all that mattered was signal, the millions of dollars spent on getting better 3g and cellular tv instead would have went to enhancing cellular towers*

First of all the idea of a dropped call is not what is a bad thing. The bad thing about dropped calls is that in case of an emergency or when losing battery and you are in the middle of an important conversation, you do not want the call dropped and not have a way of contacting the person again right away. Verizon solves this problem by giving you what you paid for and yes they take away features on phones which is bullshit but if you are looking for a phone with certain features I'm sure you can find it on Verizon. I'm waiting on either the Thunder/Storm or the Diamond/Touch Pro because my new every two is up but they're taking forever which is retarted, so yea Verizon you need to hurry that shit up. Temporary Mobile should never be mentioned in conversations like this because they have nothing to say or offer. They suck, period and their only saving grace might be the HTC Dream Android phone which other carriers will start picking up soon. And Sprint just keeps losing costumers so I won't be shocked if Verizon just flat out buys them out just because they can, lol. AT&T and the IPhone craze really doesn't amount to shit either so I won't bother discussing it. I don't know when it became cool to have the same thing that everyone else has, along with an MP3 player that looks just like my expensive ass phone so no one can tell the difference. Plus on top of that it doesn't offer shit but features that have been in phones since 5 years ago. It doesn't event have copy/paste...NEXT!
