Besides being the silent partner that is behind the manufacturing of the very successful Google Nexus 7, ASUS is known for having its own very popular line of Android flavored tablets that hook up with a keyboard dock to become a laptop. The new generation tablet, the ASUS Transformer TF500T has just paid a visit to the FCC. Since the model number falls in between the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 and the top shelf ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity TF700T, this should be a mid-range model.

Not much in the way of specs was revealed other than the word that the tablet will be graced with Wi-Fi, an HDMI  port and a microphone. And of course there surely will be a QWERTY dock for the TF500T that will transform (no better word) the tablet into a laptop. We have no word on when to expect the ASUS Transformer TF500T to be launched, but with the FCC visit, at least one task can be scratched off the 'to do' list.
