New leak shows the HTC Vigor's rumored specs
An Italian fellow by the name of Fabio Mele believes he has gotten his hands on the Verizon ROM for the unannounced HTC Vigor smartphone that goes a long way in confirming the rumored specifications.

The information extracted from the ROM goes hand in hand with all of the past leaks regarding the HTC Vigor. If these specifications hold up, then we will definitely be seeing a 4.3-inch 720p display gracing the device. Running the show behind the scenes is expected to be a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and a whopping 1GB of RAM. Also found in the ROM is the Beats Audio software that HTC first put to use on the recently released
Sensation XE.

Mele has also apparently extracted a few tutorials on the HTC Vigor in which the photo is derived from. The photo resembles other pictures and renders of the Vigor that have been leaked in the past.

New leak shows the HTC Vigor's rumored specs
It is believed that this smartphone could launch on Big Red as soon as October 13 although a more recent report has RadioShack launching it on October 20 under the name DROID Incredible HD. If that’s the case, how many of you will be flocking to grab what could very well be the best phone on the market at the time of its launch? Tell us what you think in the comments below.

Still no details on the processor other than speed though. Until proven otherwise, I guess we assume MSM8660 Snapdragon 3.

it'll fail unless it has an MSM8960 so i'll assume that's what it'll come with.

"Fail" as in lag/have even crappier battery life than the Tbolt, or "fail" as in "not be the fastest thing out there"?

IF those are the specs, then you can count me in! If the screen is larger than 4.3, than you can count me out. Frankly, I think 4.3 is too big but these days I have no choice if I want a flagship phone.

Having seen the Sensation and EVO 3D in person, I think 4.3" is a good size. Think of this as a stretched Droid Incredible 2. Most of the increased size goes to screen height, not width, since HTC is moving from a 15:9 ratio to 16:9.

I waited for no less than 6 months for the Galaxy SII only to find it wasn't coming to Big Red, and now I am happy it didn't. It will surely be a toss up between this phone and the Google Nexus Prime/Droid Prime/whatever it''s called. They both have very similar specs. I am leaning towards HTC though as I like their build quality a bit more than Samsung's, but the deciding factor, with all else being equal, will definitely be the battery life. If the Vigor does end up with a 1620mAh and the Prime gets a 2000mAh, It'll probably have to be the Prime.

Here is the short and simple.

With the beast power that droids have, the simple fact is that battert tech. will not advance in time to keep up. Even getting a "good" battery life is still less than two days.

Heres an idea. Buy the phone, then get an external charger and extra battery. Tossing a spare battery in the car for the day is alot less stressfull than worrying "wheres a charger".

Charging tech will come around. But untill wireless charging is the common outa-box feature (watch verizon), untill wireless chargers are built into cars and or car mounts, untill those matts become common place, a spare battery IS the best option.

I always get a chuckle when people expect the world and expect it to be flawless. Get real and understand there is a give and take relationship with tech when wanting the best and the newest.

All I ask is better battery life than the Thunderbolt. I don't think 10 hours is much to ask of a phone. But it is reassuring that the phone is reported to have inductive charging built-in.

Where's SPRINT's version?? All 3 others, ATT, VERIZON, TMOBILE, debuting multiple galaxy s2 killers within the next month, where's Sprint's?? Bad enough they release galaxy s2 several months late when it's already obsolete, now Sprint cant even say if they're ever going to get a better phone within the next few years? Nothing, no rumors, nothing, from sprint, pathetic. Dan Hesse will be out of a job when Verizon takes it over, hope Sprint gets taken over quickely!

You know, it hasnt been to hard to make the life my o-g Dinc last me as long as it has. In a business where co-workers are grabbing the lastest and greatest a.s.a.p. I've never felt left behind with the things it could do. Yet to lay down the cash for an HD tv so the composite out cable has served me wonders.

Now to see that HTC it cranking out a phone that has more 1ups compared to previous devices, Im freaking stoked.

Screen, 48GB storage(16IT-32(class10!)Card), processor.... plus you cant forget the tits ear buds and software for music..

HTC is my one word rebuttle to anyone that says google will cripple the droid market making its own phones.

Ok, its official. Regardless of battery life, tha Vigor is 4 me. Love my DroidX but miss tha daylights outta my HTC Sense (my 1st DROID was a Eris). Besides, 1.5g processor, Beats by Dre, 2megs on tha front, Sense, I'm hooked.
