Has there ever been a tablet whose sales figures have been put under a microscope so many times as the BlackBerry PlayBook's sales have been?; the latest estimate on sales, based on free game downloads, comes up with a figure of 429,000 units of the tablet sold as of June 15th...

I never bought Pixelated when I owned my 64Gb PB.. And maybe that was because Ebscer released a pretty s**t game...

You're honestly using figures from a game developer who freely admits to guessing and assuming!? And you really believe that a game developer doesn't want the highest number possible to "highlight" their own "success". This is such a nonsense article and really shows a desperate grab from sensationalistic "news".

sold way more than any android tablet on the market....but BB is still struggling?
all the android tablet makers would die for that figure.

Somehow, I suspect the 429,000 number is pretty close to the mark. For RIM to have 450,000 to 550,000 units in end-user hands, there would have to be constrained availability at the stores selling the PB. And that is not the circumstance. I recently checked the PB out at Best Buy and Staples and they had ample supplies of every model PB.
HTC is probably going to do better with the Flyer than RIM has done with the PB.

Although the game developer admits that some of this figure is based on assumptions and guess work, considering that Pixelated is one of the top ten most popular downloads on RIM's tablet.
