If you're Dish Network CEO Charles Ergen, you have to be wondering of there is a dark cloud above that won't go away. Outbid for both Sprint and Clearwire by Japan's SoftBank, and Sprint respectively, Dish turned its attention to bankrupt network provider LightSquared. You might recall the drama that LightSquared went through as hedge fund billionaire Philip Falcone tried to get the third party LTE provider up and running...

Yes please let this happen we always need more competition.

Light Squared was given a bum rap...the FCC blocked the deal from what UI heard because a FCC member had stock or ties to AT&T, and that Light Squared allied with Sprint threatened his positions.
Ligth Squared supposedly has a work around for GPS interference, and it rermains to be seen if this will work. When it comes to money and control these deals are always more deeper than whats said on the surface. Ask the shark of wall street about this Ichan, and I am ceratin his play was not so innocent.
I am sure AT&T, and Verizon were happy to see this deal miraculously fall through.
