Blackberries are special...

they're like the senior citizen of smartphones.

I believe they even get a discount at Chuck-A-Rama

Meh. There is a market for BlackBerry handsets. The problem I have with the current generation (with v. 6.0.### of the O/S) is that the browser still is behind the times. It is better than the browser in versions 4.### and 5.###, but is nowhere near what is available for either iOS or Android.

RIM can't hold onto their security model in perpetuity. Either (or both) Android or iOS (maybe even WP7 for that matter) will catch up and pass RIM's security model. Once FIPS certification is received, it will be over for RIM.

we had a BB rep test it here claiming it would set the standard... we all pulled out our Android phones and smoked every page with richer media loaded.

needless to say all creditbility of 6.0 was lost..
