Perhaps the most popular third party virtual QWERTY keyboard in the Google Play Market is SwiftKey and a new update for the app makes SwiftKey 3 compatible with Android 4.1 and also eliminates some bugs and fixes other issues such as predictions not popping up...

I had a dumb question about Swiftkey but I think I will stay in the dark about it...I feel it will give me unwanted attention....OWTF....What do I have to lose? Is Swiftkey X or that beta thing, WETF it is, the same as swiftkey 3?

Yes it is. As the name implies the beta gets the new features first, then when the kinks are worked out the app in the Play Store gets updated
