I expect to read some truly stupid comments in here from the usual suspects, but to make sense of this. Samsung has no other choice but to market against Apple, who else is their competition? No point in going after another Android supplier as they are far ahead of them easily, so only other competition is Apple. No point in giving WP7 free advertising, lol. Learning marketing strategy, but since there is only one iPhone makes targeting easier and Samsungs GSII devices look nothing like the iPhone. Let the stupidity and ignorance along with blind devotion commence.

The only thing I'm not a fan of is the content. Doesn't the iPhone do better voice to text commands now? If what people are waiting in line for is the iPhone 4S, then this commercial is kinda irrelevant.

Did she mean that iphone nerd was cute, or someone else?

I love that they target Apple, cause not only is it promoting Samsung but it's also advertising for Android in general, really the only other popular platform besides iOS.

The commercial seemed a little clumsy, but that could be because they wanted the iphone owner to be clumsy. Samsung's strategy is focus on built in software not apps you can install, who wrote this editorial? I know you noticed this mr. editor, I am appalled that you left it in making you seem like you are grasping at straws to defend something you like...perhaps? One thing that is consistent in each ad is the people waiting in line, which can be a double edged piece as it shows the popularity of the iPhone and at the same time how kind of ridiculous it is to see how people will do odd things because of the iPhone.
@eric could be that she was calling him cute in a platonic way, as he was like a lost puppy kind of cute. Not a have to have him kind of cute. Women definition of a word changes depending on the current situation that they used the word in. Gotta love the female sex of our species.
Who is going to keep count of the erratic comments bent on vindicating Apple and damning Samsung for this commercial?
