New Samsung Galaxy S4 ad takes the usual shots at the Apple iPhone
0. phoneArena 03 May 2013, 20:42 posted on
It's a whole new year and a new phone, but same old Samsung as the Korean OEM once again takes its usual potshots at its number one rival from Cupertino; the action takes place at a graduation slash pool party and we see the usual showing off of Sammy's features such as Air View and gesture control as a call gets answered with a swipe of the hand...

while the S Beam is nice it doesnt work with other NFC devices, to share things like video, is sad to say but NFC hasnt taken off propertly, they need to make them work with whichever NFC enabled device.

I was reading a bit on it and they're kinda murky on if the S3 has android's Beam ringtone as well. That's supposed to be the same thing but will work with any NFC equipped device. As far as I know, android Besm was on the Galaxy Nexus for sure, and any other device with NFC. It's supposed to be in stock android 4.0 and above.

U CAN USE NFC on every phone they have the same technology even it have different software

It's sad to see you get thumb down just because you mention NFC doesn't work on every device as its supposed to, now is not because of the hardware, but mostly software a fault, Samsung wanted to do something for their phones only and not always you are going to find a lot of people with the same phone, like a Nokia lumia 920 with NFC doesn't connect to an S3 or S4, just compatibility issues .

s4 is obviously better than ip5 when it comes to power and features. however, this formula of doing is getting tired and old. it may backfire soon. samsung should start becoming classy now that they're reached the top. offensive ads like these are less likely to invite iOS users to shift.

i actually think the Nokia commercial is one of the best out right now concerning the smart phone war.

I agree with the Nokia ad, was interesting, and really show how people defend and fight over devices heh, there is a lot of people that take devices personal, when none of this manufacturers actually care about the user, but mostly about their money.

Every time I turn my head, I see an iPhone. Everywhere I go, I see an iPhone. Every movie I see, there's an iPhone. Every company - they all uses iPhones in their ads. Every teen I see, every parent I see, everyone I see. They all use iPhones. Everyone always compares their phone to an iPhone. Not a droid. Not an LG, or Samsung, etc. The iPhone has and will always be in the spotlight. Apple haters make them shine even brighter in their spotlight. Reading this, you obviously have noticed, "Wow, this guy is right, iPhone is everywhere." Thumbs me down and feed me like the troll I am ! :)

A lot of teens also want to try drinking and drugs, doesn't mean it's good for them.

Good video actually and to the point.
It's not like the are lying about it so don't be a hater. I got iPhone 5 and S4 and I do prefer my S4 by far. Just to have swypekey and air gesture is awesome.

Doesn't change the fact that all of these features are gimmicky and nobody will use it :/

Most things around us is made in china, and it doesnt mean it is not a good product, also samsung is not a chinesse company, do research why most things even phones is made in china'
(Major numbers of rare materials used to made products and electronics can only be found in china, since china is a little greedy of its rare materials they forced companies to build their factories inside china.) So thats why we can see products with ASSEMBLED OR MADE IN CHINA.

I had a chance to play with the phone in the store. However my experience is that it feels good in the hand because of the rounded corners but feels incredibly cheap. Plus the glossy plastic make it even worse. Why in the name of God does the plastic have to be glossy, Samsung?

The funny thing the S beam feature on S4 introduce by Sony xperia s in 2011 and Samsung acting if they invented, 1080p front facing camera introduce by Htc dna, shooting pics and video including yourself in the pics and video through front facing camera introduce by lg optimus g pro, playing games with other S4 user through NFC, Bluetooth introduce by Iphone 3gs, erase unwanted object from pics scenery introduce by Htc one ZOE before S4.

I HAVE THE S4 FOR 4 DAYS NOW
Big Screen, High Res Screen,Nice Colors.
With the proper wallpaper the phone can look very beautifull, I use the nexus 4 live wallpaper and my phone is white...
Good call quality..
50gb free Dropbox.
Very good 13 mp camera with great fetures.
The built quality is not that good for such a premium device.
The Design is very similar to the s3.
The phone It's a bit Laggy, specially when you change screens, quite often the phone doesn't feel fluid and smooth.
The earpieces provided by Samsung feel cheap and made of low quality materials.
The battery life is not good, with 50% brightness I get 6 hours..
This is the UK version of the s4

These shots will be a lot less impact full due to the issues that the s4 is having. Sammy back off the commercials, and get to the fixes the s4 needs. You're becoming more like apple each day. We don't need that, iPhone has issues apples in the courtroom, s4 has issues Sammy's in the studio. shooting commercials about what the iPhone can't do, when the s4 can't do them well. Both of them need to just work on the issues at hand.

Ah!,the eternal fight between Apple users and Samsung´s users.
Meanwhile, two major companies cashing, selling us their gold price devices, at the same price as a desktop computer.
Xiaomi, come quickly!

This commercial is hilarious. I have been team android for years but lately I've been wanting to play with other operating systems. I've had an iPhone in the past and Yea, immediately went back to android when more phones were available besides the g1 I had. This summer I'm grabbing a windows phone, a iPhone, and a blackberry. I'm a fan of android but to truly call myself a geek and a tech lover, I have to try and let go of my Note 2 and I have to play with the best phones of each os as I wait for the Note 3. Still team android tho.
