New Phone Arena homepage layout
Hello dear Phone Arena readers!

Listening to your wishes, we've redesigned our homepage to make it better for you guys. We've added a new thumbnail visualization, which is similar to our old layout, yet is better. Now, you can easily follow the latest news/reviews/phones in one place, with just a little scrolling, as everything is compact and easy to follow.

Still, if you are one of these, who like the more detailed List view, you can switch to it, using the Icons next to the news feed header. It requires more scrolling, but features larger pictures and text. We've tweaked this one as well, so it is more space-optimized.

We think we've done pretty good job, following your advices. Still, nobody is perfect, so we welcome your feedback - please post it in the comments section below.

This is how the new homepage looks. If you are seeing bigger text, please Hold Shift key and click the Refresh button in your browser while you are on the page, to clear your browser's cache for it

I think it would be better if the time stamp (like 6 minutes ago) would be in a smaller or lower Font.

agreed. time stamps are not as critical informations, they should be the fine print touch. the headlining news should be the article, not when it came out.

Phonedog is a joke. Their audience is composed of 10 year old amateur "tech noobs" whose ignorance bleeds throughout their forums. The articles are weak and roughly composed with poor detail and the reviews there are at times obnoxious and cheesy with overexposed promotion of their deal with best buy mobile and "one pawed bandit" game. PA is far from perfect but by all means are better compiled as a tech news site. Phonedog imo is no more than its boring video unboxings which consist of half the video babbling on about something totally irrelevant and the other half opening a box showing nothing but what the charger and manuals look like. And who can forget those god awful garage band music openings of their videos. If you prefer phonedog over phonearena, you must prefer bad entertainment over concise profession and in-depth reviews and news.

Thank you! Much better! However, like the previous posters pointed out, the time when the article came out should be MUCH smaller. Also, how many comments are there in the story is a nice touch, but AGAIN should be smaller. Those things would be easy to do. Thanks for listening to us!

i still think you should make it possible to go from one article to the next (as in a next/previous option). because i have a life, and i dont live on this site. so when i come back on, i end up having to read a good 10/15 articles. and it gets really annoying having to jump back to the home screen or articles page to select a different one to read.
besides that, definitely better.

They must like your idea because now there's a next and previous news link after the article on each post. Its a nice touch. Good idea and Kudos to phone arena for listening to its readers. It keeps getting better from what I see.

Like a few other people i also think the time stamp is too large, It looks like its part of the story. A little confusing.

Unfortunately I can no longer view PhoneArena at work because of the change. It comes out as a jumbled mess and I used to follow the site quite often. It probably doesn't help that my company still uses Internet Explorer 6 and gives us no option to change/update the browser. So alas, it looks like I will have to find a new phone review/news website to browse from now on while at work.

Annnd for some reason I cannot edit my post... I was going to add me and roughly 100,000 of my fellow employees will no longer be able to view PhoneArena any longer. It's a shame really I guess I can still use my phone though. Cheers!

I love that we have the option to view the posts in a tiled grid like classic phone arena or in a list like most other tech blogs. Job well done. Much improved.

THANK YOU for the revised home page layout. MUCH BETTER! It's makes me come back daily to your site to viewing the updated mobile news stories quickly and with little scrolling. Love the two column set up to the articles. Very nice way of utilizing the real estate on the page. It shows you listen to your committed readers with the quick changes, so keep it up Phone Arena and overall, the new layout is very nice indeed.
