New Netflix app can be a remote for the PS3 app

0. phoneArena posted on 25 Sep 2012, 20:02

Netflix updated its iOS and Android apps with a brand new interface recently, but that wasn't all that changed in the app. Apparently, there was also a hidden and undocumented addition to the Netflix apps which will allow it to act as a remote for the Netflix app on your PS3...

This is awesome!

The Youtube app on PS3 is terrible terrible terrible (Even worse than the 360 one if you can believe it).

Netflix on the other hand, is pretty good on PS3 (it used to be terrible, but they got it working pretty good now, I prefer it over 360s Netflix app now) so this remote function is a nice extra, rather than a necessity to even use the app like it is for Youtube, LOL.

So is this new interface not available on 2.3 phones? I updated (says I am using version 2.0.1) but it's still the old interface. I have an unrooted Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G (not the touch).
