New Lazy Phone ad from Motorola focuses on Touchless Control feature on the Motorola Moto X
The Lazy Phone series of ads from Motorola might be some of the most original and entertaining smartphone ads to come down the pike since Microsoft's Don't Fight, Switch spots. With TJ Miller portraying your lazy phone, everything seems true to life. Motorola sent us out a preview of the next ad in the series, which is now on YouTube.

Jared is your normal guy, behind the wheel of his car when the gas gauge reads empty. So he tries to wake up Miller (who, remember, is your Lazy smartphone) and asks the search engine where the nearest gas station is. First, your lazy phone needs to figure out where you are, and secondly, it incorrectly confuses gas for glass. That kind of mistake can happen with any verbal search, right?

When the phone ends up between two seat cushions, Jared weaves on the road trying to grab his phone, but ends up in a lake. Just then, a Motorola Moto X user (with his handset neatly put up on the car dock) drives by, using Touchless Control to have his phone look up a towing outfit. What we like about the ad is that it shows you one of the phone's new features in a humorous way, while also pointing out why this new feature is so important to you.
