New Android Lollipop screenshots emerge, updates for Nexus devices start November 3

Android 5.0 Lollipop will be hitting your handset very soon if you carry a Nexus device, but some lucky souls have already had their grubby mitts on Google's latest mobile OS release, and have sent us a few shots. Besides multi-colored lollipops, we also get to see a little bit more of the new lock screen and home screen on-demand notification system.

A couple of sugary and robotic wallpapers are shown, plus the connectivity toggles pull-down menu, and the calculator interface. The Cast screen switch is now embedded right in the toggles menu, so you can easily start mirroring your phone or tablet display to the biggest screen in the house, your TV, and not fumble for the option in the settings interface. One more thing - we get to see the Flappy Android Easter egg tucked neatly in Lollipop, and we are sure there are plenty more to be discovered.

Meanwhile, we got tipped that the Android 5.0 update will arrive for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 starting November 3, as these are Wi-Fi devices only and easier to update, while the gang with cellular connectivity, like the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 with LTE, as well as the GPE devices, will get updated by the end of next month, which is still a pretty good timeframe.

Thanks for the tips!
