While we have just heard the first negative reports about this quarter’s iPhone demand from Foxconn, looking at the U.S. market alone the iPhone is still extremely popular...

I don't care how popular is Apple.......
I'm still very happy with Android and my Sony Xperia Z........ :)

if u see, and i know in USA most of all teens have iphone, even mature and young people have and that's 100% true . if u go in school or college u will see iphone on their hand and u will say "FTW" and yeah that's crap.
12. xperiaDROID (Posts: 5042; Member since: 08 Mar 2013)
Hahaha....I know, but most of my friends are using Samsung and Sony.
iPhone? Just only 2 of my friends are using it. And I won't say iPhone is crap, because just look at it's price, and the only good thing on iPhone is that it is easy to use. :)

Of course it's a crap you can not simply connect, copy, open any file
And what's worse Apple is one of the most rotten company in the world
iConboard is just for kids, this survey confirms that

Yes, and that's why Apple needs to improve everything on the iPhone, and the iPad too!
What I hate about Apple is the design, the iOS and Apple is greedy............

You guys are just a bunch of delusional Android fans.
71. anywherehome (Posts: 971; Member since: 13 Dec 2011)
no, we all have our hate based on the facts..... you are just blind and brainwashed ;)
just see this:

but I know, youre so brainwashed that your brain will reject these facts :)

so just cuss u have widgets in addition to icons makes u an adult? hahah i think what u just said shows the opposite of an adult's intelligence. If a piece of crap can easily win the hearts of the millions, i say y dont u develop a phone n see when it will surpass Apple ok?
HTC One Fasho!
75. anywherehome (Posts: 971; Member since: 13 Dec 2011)
just widgets? no, widgets, photosphere, nfc, usb connect, copy file, open any file in any app, knowing what youre installing (you can check permissions before installation), democracy, no dictatorship, responsibility, customization etc etc etc.
this means to be an adult, dear kid....you should read more to know and understand more :)

I agree man. They don't want to share, No SD expansion. Too much price while the competitor can even give more than what iphone have. But still people will buy. That's just stupid..
63. Timmehor (Posts: 599; Member since: 09 Mar 2013)
Really at the end of the day, if I get my Nokia Windows Phone and you get your Sony Xperia, we are all happy. But popularity is always good for a company. Means they are able to hook in more profit and (hopefully) develop more for their consumers and technology.

Im from Philippines. Im only 13 years old and I am using Xperia Sola and Galaxy tab 2 7.0 and craving for Xperia Z. I know how restricted iOS is so I won't want to own it. It can't even transfer music and movies to iOS easily.
I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW STUPID AMERICAN TEENS ARE.
16. xperiaDROID (Posts: 5042; Member since: 08 Mar 2013)
You're only 13?
I thought I'm the youngest one in here. (14)
CHEERS for teenagers! :)
26. xperiaDROID (Posts: 5042; Member since: 08 Mar 2013)
Ok then, just pretend that I didn't said it before. Ok?
78. ximacloudx (Posts: 12; Member since: 21 Feb 2013)
Or American teens grew up with iPods for the last eight years. You'd be amazed how many people I know who don't want to go to Android because they'd rather hit "sync" then drop and drop music, or have already purchased stuff in the Apple Store and don't want to lose it.

"Nearly half of U.S. teens are BRAINLESS and 62% plan to get BRAINLESS" LOL
9. KParks23 (Posts: 441; Member since: 13 Oct 2010)
Haha could not agree more and its on more levels than just phones!
27. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
I'm a teen. I have an iPhone. I can assure you I'm not brainless. I'm not so sure about you though. My friend with an iPhone is the smartest student at my school. Your logic is bad and you should feel bad.
33. XperiaPrince (Posts: 108; Member since: 25 Dec 2012)
Yes you are not. And I know you don't know how to choose a capable phone. There are so many better phones on iPhones price range
43. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
This is what people don't get. These phones aren't better then one another. It depends on the type of user you are that makes a phone but then another. If you give a grandparent an iphone and a flip phone if they can work the flip phone and can't work the iphone then the flip phone is better.
I tried an android returned it for the iPhone after trying really hard to love it and I did but it just didn't fit me well.
60. Baseballer (Posts: 131; Member since: 07 Dec 2011)
Im a teen to0. 16 to be exact. And i use an iphone only because its smaller and easier to carry. I've used android and love it. I want the htc one so bad but i'll probably get the next iphone just because its easier to use during school. And btw im in the top 7% of my class, on route to UT. So Its not just for dumb people or people who don't know how to use something else. Its just a matter of preference and how it fits you.
P.S hopefully i can save enough to buy the one for home use. That camera and ir blaster are so tempting!

Being the smartest kid on the short bus doesn't mean much :P
44. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
Being accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology does.
72. KParks23 (Posts: 441; Member since: 13 Oct 2010)
Hahaha funny! judging by this kids pic he does not have much goin for him!
55. 14545 (Posts: 1047; Member since: 22 Nov 2011)
Oooo, the smartest kid in school? Wow, that's still on the same level as "smartest kid on the short bus".
However, it's just I have said before. iPhones are for kids and old people. Everyone else that knows how to leverage technology uses Android(or is still with BB due to corporate policies).
57. Ninetysix (Posts: 1300; Member since: 08 Oct 2012)
The plot thickens.
"Everyone else that knows how to leverage technology uses Android(or is still with BB due to corporate policies)."
66. 14545 (Posts: 1047; Member since: 22 Nov 2011)
You're point? At my company you can have an iOS device for free, or BYOD......What do you think most people would do? Hmmmmmm. My company *supports* my ability to use another device, so I exercise that ability. Most of the people, especially in the corporate circles, in the world wouldn't know how to fully utilize their devices even if they had a weeks worth of free classes on it. Heck, my boss can barely use a computer. Those of us that are on the right side of the bell curve W.R.T to technology choose android. And before that, you know the people that have been using a smartphone for more than a year, we used WinMo. WinMo on capable hardware could still run circles around iOS......BUT, its not the most user friendly. Stupid people don't like learning how to use things. Hence the reason windows dumbed down their OS for the masses. Personally, I would rather carry a full fledged mini Linux device that has no boundaries. That way the sky's the limit for what can be done with it. Over that of something that just "works". So just remember where the iOS user falls.
73. emadshiny (Posts: 1127; Member since: 05 Dec 2012)
sorry to hurt you but smart people can make mistake as well!
64. Timmehor (Posts: 599; Member since: 09 Mar 2013)
They aren't brainless, they just aren't technology "savvy"/knowledgeable. Just because they don't know too much about technology, doesn't mean they are "dumb". That's just ignorant what you said. Not everyone likes what you like or care about.
28. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
Pretty much all of my female and male friends all have iPhones. Way over 50%. Closer to 90%. We are teenagers FYI. Albeit most of us come from "high income."
10. moronman66 (Posts: 159; Member since: 09 Jan 2012)
I'm a teenager and have been using Android phones since the MyTouch 3G (Fender Edition, I freaking loved that phone). I wish more teens would give it a chance but unfortunately, having the iPhone makes you "cool".
14. xperiaDROID (Posts: 5042; Member since: 08 Mar 2013)
Most teenagers love to show off, that's why they bought an expensive iPhone.
In my opinion, Android phones, Windows Phones, BlackBerry phones are already "cool" enough for me.
15. tiara6918 (Posts: 1320; Member since: 26 Apr 2012)
They just want to go with the trend and what's popular unfortunately
29. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
I'm a teen and didn't buy a iPhone cause its "trendy."
It fits my life perfectly. It really depends on the person. Android is great for power user and cheap phones. However for the average user the iPhone is perfect. It is slim, beautiful, simple, easy to hold, easy to type, fast, has great battery life, tons of high quality apps, has great support (apple stores and updates), iMessage is fantastic, and so on. Clearly its more then trendy.
59. Baseballer (Posts: 131; Member since: 07 Dec 2011)
Actually i got mine since its easier to use during school. I've had both in a motorola backflip, htc inspire, and iphone 4s. I like all of them, but i choose the iphone since its smaller and fits me better. Plus some of the apps i use aren't available for others :(
11. Technobri (Posts: 70; Member since: 10 Dec 2012)
Its a show off device...all teens like to do is show off and not figure things out...iphone does that perfectly ..no difficulty involved..and its main attraction are teenage girls so think about it
13. Android4u (Posts: 456; Member since: 16 Aug 2012)
It's called wanting to be in the cool crowd..I could have told you 62% of teens want an iPhone...this ain't surprising...
19. bubbadoes (Posts: 317; Member since: 03 May 2012)
the phone of choice for teens and senior citizens. (look around)
20. bubbadoes (Posts: 317; Member since: 03 May 2012)
somehow that logic doesn't add up (50% of teens) have iphones--so that leaves 50% of teens without an iphone..but yet PA says 62% plan to get one.
31. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
62% that don't have plan to get one. Or 12% additional to 50 plan on getting one. I think that is what they meant.
41. EclipseGSX (Posts: 1540; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
Actually you're both wrong, the article says "Nearly half of of US teens (48%) already own an iPhone" so the 62% that plan would make sense but that would mean 100% of teens (technically) want an iPhone. That's just total bs
45. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
That is possible but I don't think that is what they meant.
48. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
Btw I said it is possible they meant that as they might have made an addition mistake but I doubt it. Just clarifying.
You're just dumb for not recognizing that 48+62 =110.
46. biophone (Posts: 1893; Member since: 15 Jun 2011)
48 + 62 =110
Btw you called iphone users dumb? Learn how to add then get back to me.
79. EclipseGSX (Posts: 1540; Member since: 18 Oct 2011)
I fail to see where i said it added to exactly 100%... I said technically, who's the dumb one now? It's funny you somewhat agree with me at first and then probably realized it could be taken wrong later and then commented again. LOL Silly kid, go drink your juice box and ask your mom if it's nap time.

yeah for teens it's just a status symbol.
Perhaps they'll suicide if their parents won't buy it for them.
But as they become mature, they will choose android or windows phones.
61. Baseballer (Posts: 131; Member since: 07 Dec 2011)
Not true. Its a matter of preference and life style. I'll admit many want it cuz others have it, but i have mine because it's smaller and easier to use during school. But i love both ios and android. Gonna buy the htc one from someone for home use and the iphone for everyday use.
77. taikucing (unregistered)
I'm talking about 3rd world countries. You can say whatever you want kid, because you live in 1st world & don't have money problem.
In 3rd world countries it's a status symbol. Only rich people buy it. And if kids' parents don't buy it for them, the kids will try to suicide.
Here in south east Asia where I live, adults choose android for their daily life & work because not only it's simple, but also has much more features and available in cheaper version. I should work 2 months to get an iphone, just saying. That's why I choose android. Rich people in my country equals to poor people in your country.
Maybe you'll say, I don't care with 3rd world countries. But for manufacturers, it's like a gold mine. India is 1 billion people. Indonesia is 300 million people, and android is sold like a hot cake there. That's why Apple considers to make cheaper iphone for 3rd world countries (eventhough I know it will suck for its price like ipad mini)
23. lyndon420 (Posts: 1677; Member since: 11 Jul 2012)
And who is paying for these kids phone plans? I'd like to see a poll on that.
