Gartner outed its app download statistics for 2010-2016, and, unsurprisingly, the ratio of free to paid app downloads is almost 9 to 1. Of those paid apps, 90% cost under $3, so that leaves just about one percent or so of all application charging above the three dollar mark...

Windows store isn't freaking faster growing than App store..
It's a deceptive impression for lazy minded.
Store A has 50000 apps, and got 5000 new apps per month - it grew by ten percent!
Store B has 500000 apps and got 25000 new apps in a month - it grew by only five percent!
The shear size of the store B makes it look like it's growing slower but in reality it got five times more "tissue" than store A

so what you're saying is that the windows store is growing faster...
