YouTube videos over Windows Phone might appear clearer after a recent update; although still at version 1.0, the actual HTML5 streaming is improved and the option to switch to HQ video is now available; it still doesn't come close to the YouTube client on iOS and Android...

That's very cool and all but WP7 users are just getting this? I remember that button on my OG Droid. I know WP7 is late to the game and everything but don't deprive them like that MS jeez.

It isn't Microsoft on this one actually. Google is refusing Microsoft's request to have a good YouTube app. They are actually in litigation because Google is blocking these requests but yet allows iPhone to have their own YouTube app.

Maybe one day Google will let Microsoft have their own real YouTube app. Or maybe the courts will make Google do it. I wonder what they are so afraid of.

I don't understand how Google has a dedicated YouTube app for iOS, but not Windows Phone.? Honestly, what's the big deal.? There are a lot of Microsoft apps for Android, so I don't understand why Google can't supply a decent native YouTube app. SMH

Try Supertube. It plays HD as well as desktop only videos. Works better than the Android client or the garbage iOS client.
