NYC event on June 23 to showcase the new Motorola DROID models
Whenever a hot new phone is close to being launched, Verizon likes to have a large event in NYC to showcase the device, as we've seen it before with the Motorola DROID A855 last year. We've know for a while that the next two iteration of the Motorola DROID were due out soon, possibly July 19th, and it now appears that Verizon will take the wraps off on June 23rd as there will be a new PR event in NYC. There's no word if they will be showcasing the Motorola DROID X MB810 (a.k.a. DROID Xtreme/Shadow) or the Motorola DROID 2 A955, but it will include speeches by head-guys at Verizon, Google, Motorola and Adobe. Hopefully both devices are announced and are on display, though most people seem to be more interested in the DROID X, with its large screen (maybe we'll finally know if it's in fact 4.1" or 4.3", as there has been much debate), updated version of MOTOBLUR (NINJABLUR), HDMI output, and 8MP autofocus camera with 720p video recording. With Adobe making their presence know as well, we can probably count on it running Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.
