0. phoneArena 02 Apr 2012, 12:40 posted on

While we are just beginning to see smartphones rollout with the NVIDIA Tegra 3 under the hood, the Tegra 4 is expected to launch before the end of this year; the Tegra 4 is expected to be produced using the 28nm manufacturing process to produce a quad-core ARM A15-based CPU...

I have a TFP. And I'm not impressed. The only reason it's good at some of the benchmarks is because it's quadcore and that doesn't mean a thing in real world performance. The S4 is dual core and beats the s**t out of the quadcore Tegra 3.
I mean okay it's the first quad core CPU but still it's A9. A9 is just bad compared to A15.

All this talk of better power consumption, I have yet to notice a single super phone on these processors that have better battery life than the phones we have out now. Better power consumption my ass, only time it's better is when it's powered off.

And Nvidia CEO said that he wants to use intel processors on their SoC and also use the Intel's fabs(actually who wouldn't want that).

That napkin comment at the beginning pretty much says it all. Wow. Looks like it will be another game changer.

If its true and they put it in the right device then i will go for it. If not, I will be grabbing an OMAP5 instead.
