Power consumption is kind of my buzz kill and avoidance of Tegra 3 phones. I think our battery technology just needs to play catch up.

The international verision for sure. More power effecient chip and no lte with similar sized battery. They both are 't good though huge screens with high resolutions and undersized batteries. The razr maxx is the most well rounded phone when you consider thickness/battery life/lte/power/screen

but this is not like like tegra 3 and tegra 2.We dont know how will kepler perform in mobile devices. If it is the same as the desktop one then we can speculate only using 64 cores is going to beat any other Mobile Gpu's but still not sure about power consumption. However these New Kepler chips are capable of turbo boosting which Nvidia copied from intel(which they openly admitted to). New kepler based cards are far more power efficient then AMD's current line up at least when not running at 100%. This feature will work great for mobile devices, no need for companion cores, all the main cores can automatically down-clock themselves when needed.

Tegra 2 and 3 was the first fual and quad core chip give it a break. The cpu isn't bad eiter. The tegra 2 cpu beats out the crapdragon s2. And right now the tegra 3 cpu is #1 until the s4 comes out then its a tie bassically soon to be outdone by the exynos and t4 most likely as well as whatever ti comes with and crapdragon is last (once again)

In speed the snapdragon is a lot faster than the tegra 2, where the s3 fails is in its gpu performance, tht is where t2 is better. And yes tegra 2 performance was pretty bad compared to the s3. The s4 has already; proven to be quite a lot faster than the trgra 3 and its GPU is just a bit worse. And no. Once the new TI and Exynos come the "crap dragon" will jot be last. Qualcomm is releasing a quad core in around September

just why are you so far up Qualcomm's ass when Texas Instruments and Samsung has been beating them on a consistent basis for the past 2 generations of chip sets? their rate of progression really hasn't deviated a lot in the past few years. the S4 was rumored to come out in late 2011 and there's still no phones on the market with it and this is April of 2012. they'll have to give themselves 2-3 more months of extra time on the market in something for a power user to be able to justify a purchase than to just wait for Samsung or TI's next gen SoCs.

Lol, do you always have to comment on everything I write? Qualcomm shipped the most processors last year. The One S (with the S4) is on the market. Does it matter when it "was supposed to" come out? the galaxy s 2 was announced on February 13. It made it to all the carriers in the US and Canada on October 12. And also ready what you wrote, The S4 was RUMORED to come late last year, Qualcomm never confirmed it. Why am I so far up qualcomms ass you ask? stupid question, you might as well ask, "Why are you so far microsoft's ass when macs are more adored." And are you really impressed with TI's previous offerings?

yeah, it's how you should know you post some pretty ridiculous posts. does that really mean so much to you? you know all that means is that Qualcomm is selling them cheaply because well...they're cheap. oh is it now? uh...yeah. that's your problem, you get all bent out of shape about every little thing that i say you miss the whole point. the S4 is too late. the Galaxy S II has plenty of time to reign supreme in every country it's launched in. there's practical reasons to want to have a PC, there's differences between it's functionality and a Mac's. SoCs as different as they may be do the same thing and that's being the brains behind a smartphone/tablet. i bet you wouldn't complain if HTC started to use TI Chips. yeah, they beat the pants off of Qualcomm's offerings.

I really couldn't care what HTC uses. As long as it works well in the phone. And tell me, when was the last time you where impressed by TI's past offerings. I wasn't happy about the s3 either.

i dunno, i thought the OMAP5 demonstration was pretty cool but really if you want an LTE device now the most powerful LTE devices are powered by the OMAP4 being that the Exynos and the Tegra III don't support LTE and the S4 isn't out in anything yet.

I have a TFP. And I'm not impressed. The only reason it's good at some of the benchmarks is because it's quadcore and that doesn't mean a thing in real world performance. The S4 is dual core and beats the s**t out of the quadcore Tegra 3.
I mean okay it's the first quad core CPU but still it's A9. A9 is just bad compared to A15.
