Where are all the complaints about it only being shipped with Honeycomb , then "update to Ice Cream Sandwich is promised to be released by the end of the year" . I can't believe there are no posts talking about releasing a half-baked product , and this and that . . . It's precisely the opposite . ? .

Well, it's up for pre-order now, and yes it ships with honeycomb. But the "end of the year" is only a month away, if that, depending on when they release it.
So it wouldn't be long until they got updated to ICS and it's nice to see how it runs on the product.
That's how I see it.
