NPD predicts that the Apple iPad mini will sell 22 million more units than the full sized Apple iPad in 2013

The Apple iPad mini has become the breadwinner in the iPad household and according to research firm NPD, out of the 88 million Apple iPads it expects to be sold this year, 55 million will be the version with the 7.9 inch screen; apparently, things like the much lower screen resolution as compared to the full-sized version, and the slower processor on the iPad mini don't matter to buyers...

I still can not understand, why any one would buy such an inferior product??!!!
if you compare with cheaper, much much better, versatile this:
but really I know, Google has terrible marketing because he is not able to explain that with iToys you can not
1) connect to PC and freely copy
2) simply print documents
3) just 30 years old icons
4) pay via NFC
huge flop of Google's marketing

I think you shouldn't try so hard to hate apple. They make billions why you sit on PA, and whine hate, and complain it. Crybaby.

The facts are that people love iPads. Look at the sales, satisfaction rate.

I Prefer Android phones to the iPhones but when it comes to tablets, iOS just provides a better experience. APPS ARE OPTIMISED. The iPads have value unlike android tablets because you don't get the same experience, you don't want to buy a tablet just to get the same experience on a phone but on a larger screen, it needs to be different. Right now the best duo is an android phone to get all the freedom that android allows and all the costumisation and the better hardware, and an iPad for the true tablet experience.

better to have features than brick with nice icons :)

Whatever, enjoy your blown up smartphone that runs blown up phone apps. I'll use my iPad that runs ture tablet apps. It's like comparing features and finish. I'm not bashing android, i even said that i prefer android phones (currently using a Droid DNA & N4) but android tablets are still behind iPads. They really need to be more than just big smartphones, they need to do more and in a different way.

I copy fulHD mkv movie from my friend's PC in a few seconds with srt subtitles and watch in a train on my Nexus 7....
youre limited, your iToy is limited, your life is limited....
you can just envy how Android is superior over iToys :)
so just try and then talk nonsenses :)
I have books, web, G+ fully experienced you will never have with iToys....what is more important, just any your tablet adjusted app? read more, my friend :)

Whatever, i use iTunes for renting movies, easy, seamless, and i don't have to worry about incompatibility or anything like that.
The iBooks store is richer on iOS, and web is a better experience thaks to LTE and a much faster and smoother browser ( enjoying your laggy chrome?), there's a G+ app, and much more optimised apps. For example, is there an equivalent to iMovie, iPhoto or garage band, paper...?Nope

Then just shut up and enjoy your N7, and let others enjoy their iPad. Who cares what it can do other than you, the owner? Cry baby whiner.

No,you are wrong.iPad is with light years ahead of competition.I really don't need widgets or NFC because it's useless. All I want from a slate is to be premium, well designed, bugless and to have top specs and optimized apps. You can find all these things in Apple's iPad.
For example,I have the Nexus 7 which is a great tablet, maybe the best android slate with a good price, but I also have alot of problems with it : some building quality problems, alot of lag when I'm surfing(pinch to zoom in/out is very bad in comparasion with an iPad) and ugly designed apps which are normally smartphones apps but vector scaled.
Let's be unbiased and objective.

ok, then copy fullhd movie with srt from every PC :)
connect usb and freely copy any file
show me calendar widget
show me multi-user platform (full user settings)
you see, iPad is light years behind Android :)
just deal with it :)
but I know, you dont need these features, you still live in a cave :)
Let's be unbiased and objective.

Seems that people are really loving the portability factor even though it comes at a cost of a s**tty screen

A few years down the line this would be a classic example used by proffesors to explain Cannibalization......

This is the smart way of doing it though. Eventually someone is going to come out with a better, more desirable product than your own. Apple's staying on top by giving people what they want... And apparently people actually do want a small, more affordable iPad.
Better they eat their own sales than give 'em to Samsung or Amazon.

Megalomaniac douche Steve Jobs was DEAD WRONG again haha
1. Size of a smartphone screen should not exceed more than 3.5 inches
2. The Stylus is dead, nobody wants it
3. The size of a 10 inch full sized iPad is just right.

I think those el cheapos from China like AINOL and PIPO are the best bang for buck seven inchers out there bar none....$150 loaded with 1280 pixel ips, 1.6 ghz dual, Quad Mali 400, 16 gigs, 1 gig RAM, sd slot, hdmi, bluetooth, on the go USB cable included... i mean...seriously folks you need to check these brands...its dirt cheap but its good

Please don't raise the price Android makers. Stupid mood. Keep making the better product at the cheaper price point.

The cannibalization predictions seem to be right so far. The market share, sales are gonna be spread between the big iPad and the smaller one.
Apple......alot of the things you are trying to do now.....you should have done from day one. iPhone shoulda been on more carriers, shoulda had cheaper ones, shoulda had a smaller iPad. The big screen iPhone..thats no big deal. That didnt take off until 2010. Then again....Apple coulda done a bigger iPhone in 2011...
Apple is slowly looking like MS in the mobile world...waiting late to answer the competition. The Apple name and reputation can only carry them but so far.
