NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers plan on going to the Super Bowl using the Apple iPad 2

Instead of having to thumb through a huge phonebook-sized playbook (not the RIM tablet) full of routes and blocking assignments, players with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers simply turn on their Apple iPad in order to memorize plays...

unless the ipad can throw to recievers or play defense the bucs are not going to even be in the playoffs

I would say unless the iPad can take out Matt Ryan or Drew Brees the Bucs won't make the playoffs.

The Bucs are the youngest team in the NFL, and barring from a blown call (which the league admitted), they could have made the playoffs LAST year. They didn't, and they were still close. Thing look even more promising this year.
But that's alright, I'm sure they're hoping the league underestimates them so when they do make the playoffs, all you haters are either 1. going to say "Huh?", or 2. Turn face and say, "I never said... ".... LOL

Or not carrying around the phonebook sized playbooks will mean a loss of physical fitness and therefore the Bucs will be pushed around more on the field and will finish with a leagues worst record, get the number one pick, lose the iPad2's next year and then win the Super Bowl

Don't really get why this is that smart of an idea. Playbook isn't a horrible idea, but this is inviting people to use their tablets for something else.
I'd rather just let them keep their playbook, I mean something that works works.
Now the video aspect of it I like, I think being able to create game film for everyone to watch is a good idea so they can watch film whenever they want.

this is a pretty cool idea i like the film concept a lot. this could go very far and i think it could be the future of all teams getting these instead of a playbook.

I just like the fact that more and more uses are being discovered for tablets

First of all: the screen name I picked "snowgator" is for my affection for the UF Gators, the team I picked as a little kid back in the 70's growing up in Fort Myers. My pro team? You guessed it . The Tampa Bay Buccaneers. THAT was not an easy feet, with an 0-26 start to the franchise and 16 - yep, 16- straght seasons of 10 losses or more. While I do not live in Florida anymore, I am still a Gator and Bucs fan. I like that they are onboard with mordern day tech, and that they reconize the value of letting a little personal use go along with it.
Besides, I just had come from checking on the Bucs on the team web site, and there they are on my favorite mobile site. Gonna be a good day .....

Don't think the Buccaneers will make it to the super bowl this year. And APPLE probably gave them free Ipads

I don't think Apple would give anyone free anything. might drop the stock price.
