Not too much in the mobile phone world tops buying that red hot Samsung Galaxy S III, except for having one handed to you for free; there is a little catch in that you will need to handcuff yourself to Canadian carrier Bell for three years...

Once my Sprint contract expires, I'd like to do the month-to-month plan with Verizon so I don't have to stay locked into a contract.
Point is, 3 years is ridiculous. I'd rather pay full price for the phone any day.

Welcome to Canada, where the people are okay with being taken to the poorhouse by their own countrymen. Well, that and there is no such thing as consumer protection here, and the government is in bed with industry... WIN-WIN combination!

The article says that if you sign on for a 3 year contract, you'd be missing out on the Galaxy S IV, V, & VI. Not true. You'd be getting off contract around when the VI comes out. Either way, feels like way too long to me.
