The Chinese version of the HTC Desire 816 has Android KitKat on board, so we're assuming that KitKat is also going to power the handset when it launches around the world starting April...

The 5mp FF camera pretty much confirms that the new HTC One will have 5mp FF as well

That would be amazing! It's too bad Samsung stuck with its 2mp camera in front of the S5. Would have been a good opportunity to start bumping that feature up. I'm looking forward to HTC.

Say what you want about selfies but I also have a night life and a better low light sensor and higher megapixel count would be my priority! ;) Given HTC keeps their amazing wide angle view :D

Yeah definitely low light quality ensured first and then raise the mp accordingly. I don't do selfies, but I think video chats could definitely see an improvement with better camera (: wide angle is excellent.

I really like the overall look of this phone and the specs are okay. But the name is stupid. HTC needs to hire a branding specialist.... HTC One X, S, & V in 2012. Then the HTC One, One Max, and One Mini in 2013. Then "The All New One" in 2014. Now we have a phone that is going to be named Desire 816... 816? Really?!?

This will probably be the best mid range device on the market. Good job HTC.
