"Samsung's strong showing could be due to the large number of smartphones it offers while Apple has just the Apple iPhone 5 and its legacy models."
Oh Cmon! What does the number of smartphones a manufacturer offers have to do with recommendation? Retailers recommend either because its the best or it is profitable for them.

"Samsung's strong showing could be due to the large number of smartphones it offers while Apple has just the Apple iPhone 5 and its legacy models."
Is that so....
"Samsung was the brand most recommended by sales reps and the Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung GALAXY Note II were the specific models recommended the most by reps."
According to this....Samsung has 2 phones thats the most popular...Apple would have what, 3? If you leave out the 3GS? Even if you leave out the 4, Apple has the 4S and 5....
Its also funny seeing Apple Insider adding their opinion. AI also said Apple only had the iPhone. Thats still 2 phones vs 1 if you just say the iPhone 5.

My dad had a Samsung Galaxy Note II and he lend it to me for a few days. Its a great device if you ask me and I can't wait for the Note III to come out in October-November. Great Marketing Samsung!

What about HTC? Their butterfly and 8x are brilliant.
Honestly HTC > Samsung
11. darac posted on 28 Jan 2013, 01:40 3
Butterfly is not on sale in the UK, to my knowledge.
As for 8X, don't be stupid.
That thing has nothing on S3 and Note 2.
One X+ is a great phone though..maybe even better than the S3

You are right, neither Butterfly not LG Optimus G are for sale in most Europe to my knowledge.
And The One X+ may be even better than the S3, but...
S3 costs 450 Euros
One X+ costs 600 Euros.
So no wonder Samsung sells like crazy in Europe, only Sony is giving some competition against them with the Xperia T (Similar price and specs to the S3).

Well the butterfly is for sale here in Malaysia .
I see Nokia Lumia 920s selling well too , but I like the design of the 8x more .
I just finished high school currently working part time jobs , if I have the money , I would buy a Butterfly over the One X+ although they cost similar .
The butterfly has better screen and soc .
I don't mind having a smaller battery and 16gb storage

Here the S3 costs 600 euros.

Ite got nothing to do with the commissons really, I get the same commission not matter what phone I sell. What you find in most carriers stores is that 90 % of the staff own and use a top android phone themselves and a very small amount choose an iphone. Simply because the staff use the handsets day in day out and easily recognise the advantages and all round better devices that are the top android handsets over the dearer and inferior ios phones.
Most retail staff dislike the iphones as there are frequently alot of issues and faults with the no staff member relishes the weekly argument with a customer saying "yes I know you are on a 2 year contract but apple only gives you a 12 month warranty not the legal 2 year default warranty given by every other manufacturer, your iphone is just out side the 12 month warranty and will cost up to 200 bucks to repair"

The SG3 and Note 2 are great stable phones at great prices.
My SG3 was $50 compared to a iPhone 5 which was $200 at the time we got our phones.
