Mystery Motorola device visits FCC, possibly the Motorola DROID X 2

A mystery device from Motorola has just been given a look over by the FCC; with the manufacturer's request for 180 days of confidentiality from the February filing, the timing would suggest that the device is the Motorola DROID X 2...

Why is phonearena still using these photos? I can't for the life of me understand why Motorola would make the successor to the X, basically the same phone in styling. Absolutely nothing has changed, that photos has to be bogus. Why wouldn't the X2 be LTE compatible, what the hell is the point in not making it compatible? There is no reason to start leaving things out when Verizon is about to unleash it's 4G LTE, why in the world they don't send Voice over it is beyond me. Whatever it is, makes no sense to have a dual core phone with a bunch of RAM and doesn't even take advantage of the fastest Data pipelines available.
Guess this must be from a business standpoint, but as everything is moving so quickly. This doesn't seem like a sound business decision, unless they spent a lot developing this phone and need to justify it's work with some end result.

This won't be the last 3g device you will be seeing. I'd consider buying a 3G device now since 4G LTE in my area won't be available for quite some time, but I need a new phone. It actually does make business sense to make a great 3g device still. It'd be nonsense to only make 4G phones and no more 3g right now.. That day will come eventually, but still way too early. 4G data pricing may be more than 3g as well.. another reason why people would want to buy a new/great 3g device.

I'll take the 1gb ram and the dock since i don't need 4g or the premium.

Yeah these photos for the so called Droid X2 do look sketchy. we gotta agree though the fame from the droid X was !@#$%^& solid guy. if motorolla made a new frame it would also come wth the chance of disapointment a something lame. I personally wouldnt mind it being the same but yeah it would be nice to see a new OOOOOO! FRAME! lol

I just went through the FCC link, and it seems like Motorola doesn't want the pics of the FCC ID tag released to the public for 180 days. Could be the Droid X2, but only the FCC and Motorola know what the device really is.

wait I just thought of something could it be a photo of the X running on a new android update. that could be the reason the phones layout looks different but the actual phone doesnt.
