Awesome! :)

Snapdragon 600 is nice, but Moto should've put 800 on it!

the chips are the same size just buy a SD 800 and replace it yourself. I've upgraded a many chips in my phones to the next fastest. AS long as they are on the same platform it works.

That's because you're a smart guy, you know how to replace it yourself. I will faint if I do that, because I don't even know how to replace it! xD

That is so false.

A different processor basically means a different phone so good luck supporting android builds and drivers by you lonesome.

You're wrong my friend the SD 600 and 800 will use the same board all one has to do is swap out the chip from 600 to an 800 I've done this on other phones using same processors and just swapping out the chip. These phones are micro computers and as long as a person has the skill he can swap out and reconfigure them as they wish. Take the time to learn.

Well it's good to know it'll be at least average for a 2013 flagship. With the usual high end specs, giant battery, and high durability, the X seems promising. It might not be the Snapdragon 800/Tegra 4 beast I've been wanting to see since CES, but Motorola's build strength/quality and battery surely make up for it.

the score seems too low compared to the htc and samsung devices that carry the same innards.

this is Google, they're more concerned with activations and in plugging more and more people into using their services than they are with turning a big net income from the sales of the products they sell from their hardware partners. it's a gamble but that's Google and the long term profit would be worth the profit lost from poor sales from inexpensive models but if this X is really as amazing as it's hyped up to be and it penetrates the market real well with plenty of availability then they may be able to have their cake and eat it too. the Nexus 7 is proof of this.

Nexus phones were never meant to be the top of the line.

I'm in the camp that says that they really need to utilize the Snapdragon 800 as the SoC of choice if they really want this phone to remain relevant. At least would be some bragging rights over their competition, who are all more popular on the sales front, and use the same chipset.
