Mysterious BlackBerry Slider Heading to Sprint?
Thanks to a trusted tipster over at BGR, we now have some more exciting news about the mysterious BlackBerry slider. First, the bad news is that the model has failed early diagnostic testing 4 out of 5 times. The only other 'Berry that ever failed such a test is the Pearl Flip. The tipster says that the slider he saw was branded with the Sprint name which could be the CDMA flavored 9900. The GSM/HSPA version, the 9930, will support 850/1900MHz UMTS which would suggest support for AT&T and Rogers 3G networks. As far as what the device will be called, the source said that the Bold name was nowhere near the phone. For those Sprint customers who have been feeling left out lately, perhaps this will be considered exciting news for them.

Sounds like a good idea. I owned a Pearl Flip(was given to me free by Blackberry) and I must say, I would have REGRETTED paying for that phone, thank goodness I didnt. I hope this slider is better. I Hope they dont call it the BBerry 9900 though, I like the code name MR.T much better dont you? www.cellphonewars.blogspot.com www.hubpages.com/hub/sprint-saves-you-money/

It's not your phone... it's your network.

I'll just stick with my Bold. Touchscreens are a fad that never should have come to fruition.

I've had sprint since 1996 and I now have the blackberry 9630 and I've messed with the evo and the epic but I like blackberry if sprint doesn't get a touch screen soon I'm going to at&t

Been a loyal sprint customer since 1996. I am at a loss as to why sprint can't get the newest blackberry phones. I am patiently waiting for a sprint version of the blackberry Torch. If it doesn't come by summer I plan to switch to att.
