I don't see any of the big carriers adding the Firefox OS to their lineup, but may small/prepaid carriers.

what if the US citizens get fed up with the government protecting the rich (Google, Apple... other big stock market companies) by 2014 and their software loses popularity. small trust worthy ones could rise.
