Movie ticket app Fandango returns to Windows Phone Store

Fandango's popular, but problematic Windows Phone app, also available on Android, BlackBerry and iOS, has returned to the WP Store after getting pulled due to instability and usability problems. The latest update (version 1.6) hopes to resolve the issues via enhancements and general bug fixes. Also, the app no longer supports Windows Phone 7 devices.

Apart from that, this is the same old Fandango for Microsoft's mobile platform. The app lets you find movies playing within the hour near you with its GoNow feature, gives you a schedule of local theaters, offers advance tickets and Featured lists, as well as trailers and exclusive materials. It also has a community with fan ratings and reviews, movie tweets, and MetaCritic scores.

Theaters can be discovered using your device's GPS and added to a Favorites list. Amenities, such as reserved seating and mobile tickets, can be found as well. Tickets for 22, 000+ screens can be bought with credit card information - either stored online, or on your device. Also, movie, showtime and ticket details can be texted or e-mailed straight to your friends. Indeed, cinema goers live a mobile life.
