Motorola Mobility, and by extension Google, has found a spot on your Android phone free from ads, the turn-by-turn navigation that is part of Google Navigation on Android models; Motorola Mobility seeks a patent for smart ads that would push out ads of certain stores depending on your location...

then it will be annoying... im already annoyed about the google ads on youtube and now on navigating too?!
i mean its good for the businesses but you are traveling and some people want to concentrate...and google ads will just pop out...

Give me the option to turn it off if I desire. Could have benefits if I'm out shopping, but I don't want the intrusions every trip.

I think you misunderstood, they are not making new ads, but replacing the old ones. If the current ads don't bother you, these smart ads should not either.
