Court documents, recently released, show that Motorola is seeking a payment from Apple of 2.25% of its Apple iPhone sales; in return Apple will get a license enabling them to use patents, including one involved in a infringement case that forced Apple to pull certain devices from its German online store...

They didn't "ban" Apple. Apple had to take a few products off the online web site, but they are still selling those products in Apple stores and retailers.

Ummmmmm, no. That ban was lifted:
Update 3: And just like that, the BBC is reporting that Apple's exhortations have been heard, and the ban has been lifted. Details are few, but Cupertino had this to say about this latest turn of events:
"All iPad and iPhone models will be back on sale through Apple's online store in Germany shortly."-Engadget
Point Apple.

Even if a sales ban is lifted, that doesn't mean that Apple is not going to have to pay royalties. The new fight is over what the number should be, not whether Apple will have to pay.
Point Moto.

No kidding. Especially since apple has or is suing all of them over BS patents. I hope Moto gets the 2.25 in germany. Maybe someone can win a suit here as a shot back across the bow apple.

well i'll tell you one thing, Motorola is a certain danger to Apple in the courtroom if nowhere else. Google has prepared them for a dirty war that they'll probably be Google's Ace in the Hole in. :P
