Motorola makes another attempt to rollout Android 4.4 for the DROID MAXX, ULTRA, and Mini

Motorola's first attempt at pushing out the Android 4.4 KitKat update for its new line of Verizon DROIDs came about one month ago. The rollout began on December 19th; and over the next week, Motorola was hit by a number of reports that the update was actually bricking user devices. The update was pulled at the end of December, but it seems that the issues are fixed, because the rollout is beginning anew...

I thought Verizon does extensive tests for updates. Seems like smoke if devices were getting bricked.

No kidding. The Verizon update delay has always smelled of being bogus. Remember how badly they screwed the Nexus program?
Either way, I'm happy to see that Motorola didn't let the bug delay them for too long.

The Verizon "testing period" is to add crapware no one will never use.

The soak test was finding more bugs in it than what we thought at first for the new update. That the reason it was pulled from a lot of the device users that had them.

Just got my update early this morning. Gonna factory reset to see how well it works with no apps to interfere with new OS.
