I linked to and mentioned all of this in the article earlier today that talked about 2.1 making its way to droid. You're welcome...

this is very exciting news. can't wait to see what it fixed. i'm not use to waiting so long for the updates. with my blackberry, updates would be leaked every week.

Ok, great now I get multi-touch in the browser. That is fun. What about real practical updates such as real voice blue-tooth hands free dialing? This is a feature that is really needed.

you think its the upgrade to make flash capable on the droid?

i agree with jerbob... i hope that it will fix some little things.. but the most annoying is there is no voice dialing with the blue tooth connected. I dont care about multi pinch zooming but it seems as though everyone else does.. i guess it may open more doors for some applications not available on the droid to finally be released like on the eris certain games are allowed on that phone because of this and not on the droid. hopefully this will level the playing field. Does anyone else get multiple text messages (the same message) sent from one person like five times in a row on their droid? i cant fix that either.. i hope this update does though i doubt it.. yay for 2.1!

To Phonearena, "By the end of the week, DROID owners will be flicking their fingers all over their handset's touch screen. It makes you wonder how anyone lived without pinch-to-zoom in their touchscreen browser." Pinch to Zoom in the browser has been available for the longest time through Dolphin for anyone that feels double tapping sucks. Where you guys been???

I was very displeased with Dolphin browser but it wont matter because the double tap zoom is better than pinch zoom to me.

multitouch, 5 homescreens, and voice dialing and i'll be happy. the animated wallpapers would have been cool but not worth slowing down my phone
