I'd imagine there would be an ICS launch device (maybe the new Transformer) then not long after the Xoom will get it. Just like how Nexus devices (or the Droid) got device upgrade of the next gen really early.

On that note I don't think ICS will be that huge for the Xoom at launch, a lot fo the new ICS features are already on the Xoom and Honeycomb, what will be the big gain (aside from better development due to a more streamlined approach) iss down the road when more ICS Apps are out there. Which will certainly happen as I imagine Google TV 2.5 will be ICS as well so everyone and their grandmother will develop for ICS.

the XOOM really is the closest thing we have to a Honeycomb Nexus. i expect this to be true. i just want to see it come to the Droid 3, Bionic, Charge & Incredible 2 in that order!

considering that the droid 2 global was just announced to "soon" be getting gingerbread. [it hasnt gotten it officially yet]. i would bet that the xoom gets honeycomb about 6 months from now.

correction: the D2G is getting Gingerbread right now and considering that the Droid X was the first phone other than a Nexus to be updated to Gingerbread i would bet ICS is coming exactly when they say it is.
