Motorola RAZR2 V9m on Verizon website
Anticipation is growing as Motorola fans are waiting for the release of the upcoming Razr2 V9m.
This week, the Interactive Manual made its way to the Verizon website, which seems to confirm that the
phone will make a July release, as stated by Motorola.

The V9m is part of the new RAZR2 line, which also includes the V8 and V9, which will be sold by other providers.

The V9m is different than any other pervious Razr model, including the Maxx Ve. Most noticeably, the V9m is thinner (11.9mm), has a colored-metal body, and is the first phone to feature a large 2" 65K Color Touch-Sensitive QVGA External Display.

The External Display is capable of showing Text Messages, Inbox, Recent Calls, and for use with Music Playback. Connectivity has been enhanced by using a High-Speed USB 2.0 port for data transfers.

Bluetooth profiles include: A2DP, AVRCP, DUN-GW, FTP-Server, GAP, GAVDP, Headset-AG, HFP (1.5) AG, OPP-Client, OPP-Server profiles.

It is also rumored that the V9m will support the new FlashUI themes, which was lacking on the Maxx Ve. Despite these upgrades, the V9m features a standard 2MP Fixed-Focus Camera with no flash. It is unfortunate that Motorola decided not to incorporate the same 2MP AutoFocus Camera with Flash what was used on the Maxx Ve. The is the only caveat that we can see about the new V9m.

Why not just buy the MaxxVe which already has all the RAZR 2 has and more?

it's about time for MOTO to have a good phone for once. i see from looking at the picture that the RAZR 2 has the new Verizon interface, not the old red bars. it would be cool if it can use Vcast mobile TV. i think the Verizon Wireless version of this RAZR is going to be the best because Verizon is just a better carrier than the others. can't wait to upgrade.

i dont know why but they took down the page.

They probably took it down so more attention would be given to the new Chocolate phone. That's all I've been seeing and hearing about in ads. I hope the Razr2 comes out by 8/12 when I'm eligible to upgrade.

Kevin, can you explain what the Maxx Ve has that the v9m doesn't? Have you seen a comparison?: http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/compare.php?id%5B%5D=1024&id%5B%5D=1243&id%5B%5D=&id%5B%5D=&id%5B%5D=

I will still buy it, just wish they would at least boost the internal display to 262k. :)

The phone's supposed to be out by late August, particularly the week of the 20th. However, this is just speculation from a few different insiders.

Again we struggle w/ 1.2 B/Tooth in addition to a very out-dated 65K internal screen. 262K is at best the norm, 16 million and 2.0 B/Tooth are the new standard. Why does VZ insult us? Perhaps knowing that CDMA is far better in the US, "only", who knows????.......n/c
