I wouldnt bother, go take a look at Motorolas european facebook page, all you see is ppl crying for updates that moto never delivers.
If your fine with that then sure get this phone, but if you want some sort of aftermarket support and os updates then youll have to look else where.

If NO other company with great after sales support and who delivers updates pretty fast IS NOT READY TO GIVE A USABLE BATTERY LIFE, then I am very very happy to live with un-supported company's JUMBO-BATTERY EQUIPPED phone...
Further ICS is about to reach this month in BigRED's MAXX... And Google will be the boss of MotoMobility when this phone reaches my hand... So I am NOT worrying about updates... Above all there is XDA...
The only chance I am NOT buying this phone is IF AND ONLY IF Sammy releases S-III with 3000+ mAh battery....
Now I need NOT irritate Motorola's twitter and FB accounts reg the GSM version of MAXX...

if i wanted the latest android update typically XDA is much more reliable than manufacturer&carrier updates....damn bloatware and bugs

The Maxx is the most amazing phone I've ever owned. No other smartphone can go 40+ hours on a single charge with heavy usage. And the comments about Motorola's software being out of date??? Spare me. This phone performs wonderfully and has few, if any bugs or glitches at all. It's fast, responsive and lives up to all the hype. And yes, it's very thin. It's thinner than the iPhone ans the battery lasts twice as long. No joke. I get 29Mbps down on VZ's LTE and 11Mbps up. The iPhones fake 4G even begin to compete. If you want the biggest, most badass highest resolution display, go with the Galaxy Nexus and enjoy 13 hours of battery life. I've been unplugged for 37 hours and am at 33% battery. It's exciting.

Please Excuse Lots of typos on my long-winded post above because phone arenas stupid website totally blows on a smartphone using dolphin browser. It's not perfect but nothing rarely is. Nothing beats a real desktop computer but the RAZR maxx really helps out when on the go. Stepping out for an entire weekend without worrying about a charger is pretty cool stuff.
