Nice move Sprint! This is a Droid Bionic minus kick stand. I wish Verizon was at Sprints current state, maybe they would push out (Amazing) phones in a timely fashion. COME ON VERIZON! I WANT THE BIONIC NOW!
6. mr. droid (Posts: 278; Member since: 21 Aug 2010)
the "Bionic" is not going to be 4G, so dont get too excited. lol
7. josuearisty (Posts: 148; Member since: 30 Sep 2009)
It will, the new BIONIC with 4.5 inches screen will, didnt you see the pics?
9. Sniggly (Posts: 7227; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Dude, the whole point of the Bionic is that it's supposed to be 4G and have a dual core processor.

It will and much faster than Sprints "4G"

At least Sprint has some sort of 4G, unlike ATT and T-Mobile
28. spanky (Posts: 81; Member since: 02 Jun 2011)
what do you mean "4g" VZW's LTE gets destroyed in my area. I constantly his 2-3mpbs higher then any VZW "4g" device with my evo.
29. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
you live in a really bad LTE area then my friend. it's okay though, they're out there. look on the interwebz though, you'll see LTE is a faster network.
31. spanky (Posts: 81; Member since: 02 Jun 2011)
we were one of the first markets for wimax and LTE. my experience here is far greater than with LTE. Plus what is the point in having that super amazing fast LTE with its capped or throttled? ill stick with my wimax and Sprint. ;)

Just stating information based on research. 1. WiMax is Sprint's method of delivering "4G" connectivity to its customers. Not a bad idea but is basically super long range wi-fi. Therefore you can expect broadband like speeds (which is awesome for a cell phone). All tests, and many tech reporting sites have proven however, that a strong RADIO signal of LTE is the FASTEST you can get. Sorry guy. However, its obvious verizon needs to get on the ball with its devices before there's no one left to enjoy all that LTE goodness.

you're thinking about the Droid X2 guy or do you think it makes sense for Moto to make practically two of the same phone for the carrier? :P

Can't wait for the final review .. Moto is on a roll :-)

i was waiting for a great motorola smartphone to be on Sprint! and it looks very nice. now i got to decide on the htc evo 3d or the photon 4g.

I can't help but laugh at the fact that sprint has been taking other carriers behind the wood shed and had commenced to kicking some carrier butt. This will be a strong additional device added to the sprint family. Right now POINT BLANK if your not walking around wherever your with a sprint powered Android device then simply your not even in the game....

hm, well here it is. not bad Moto & Sprint, not bad. only thing that i can say that really surprised me though is that it's the first Motorola phone outside of Verizon to have that kind of high-end "Ninjablur" as everybody used to call it, customers won't be disappointed with that and i feel like the active kickstand could be a pretty nice thing if it's done right but if not then something that's going to be REALLY annoying. the only disappointment coming from me here is there's no Laptop Dock functionality it seems. it'll have it's own accessories which doesn't smell very future proof.
18. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
actually i fail you guys, i fail, support stated for the Laptop Dock is right there at the bottom. must've skimmed it. xD

Actually Verizon is up to Sprint's standard. They are actually ahead, and by far. Look at Sprint's flemsly 4G (i mean wimax coverage). Verizon was on par to release the Motorola Bionic, but stopped production with Motorola. The phone was not up to standard--so Motorola went back to the drawing board. The dual core was eating the already large 1900 mah battery, and the 4G chip couldn't stay connected to the network. Unlike releasing another phone ahead of schedule as they did with the Thunderbolt--the phone is back with the manufacturer. This Sprint phone by Motorola is an Atrix, with a diamond shape--no matter how you slice it. Call it what you want.
17. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
it'll be a lot better than the Atrix purely because of the UI. Verizon has always had Motorola phones LEAGUES ahead of the rest of Moto's line-up purely because of Blur. now i can't say that it's a Verizon exclusive thing which makes me sad but it's a definite win for Sprint Customers. to me this is in a comfortable spot between the Atrix & the Bionic with it going Atrix > Photon > Bionic.

Your REAL FUNNY how is verizon up to speed with sprint??? up to speed based on what OUTDATED OVERPRICED DEVICES THAT HAVE THE SAME SPECS AS MY CURRENT EVO 4G....GET REAL MAN. This is the MIDDLE OF 2011 and verizon ODES NOT HAVE ONE DUALCORE 4G DEVICE..Now the Droid X2 is dualcore but with 512 of ram and on 3g really means what??? You and verizon are both jokes.
45. Sniggly (Posts: 7227; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Dude. Calm the fuck down and have a seat. Sprint has had Wimax for well over a year, they have the technology pretty well figured out. LTE's implementation is still being perfected. Motorola is releasing the Bionic this summer, which will be dual core and LTE. Besides, single core phones are still pretty good right now.
I love Motorola, software, hardware and all, but Sprint went with a technological dead end. And Sprint might be a nice company, but they are also the suck when it comes to overall coverage. Most of their "coverage" is roaming, and even then they don't compare to AT&T or Verizon Wireless.
47. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
wow, your comment sure left an awful taste of stupid in my mouth. you'd do well to listen to Sniggly, he's totally right. you Sprint fan boys sure have been annoying lately. not one dual-core phone has set foot in a store yet and you all talk shit about how Sprint has them while Verizon doesn't when everybody knows full well that Verizon is getting some dual-core love in the form of the Bionic. it's just like a matter of weeks, maybe not even that.

i see they have stolen HTC's iconic kickstand. Watch the lawsuit..

Sadly, and im my oppinion logically, all Motorolas have MotoBlur.
30. jroc74 (Posts: 5245; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
The Droid 1 and some new Virgin Mobile phone doesnt have Blur.
The Xoom has stock Honeycomb. Not trying to be a know it all but...lol
26. jroc74 (Posts: 5245; Member since: 30 Dec 2010)
Yea....especially the newer of Blur. Launcher is better, widgets look better, contacts has been tweaked...etc, etc.
Basically, like you said....they never used it.
40. luis_lopez_351 (Posts: 951; Member since: 18 Nov 2010)
Yes i have, sadly i was an owner of the motorola charm -__-
46. Sniggly (Posts: 7227; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
Yes, I feel sorry for you owning the Charm, but this is 2011. I could tell just by looking at it that the Charm was going to be a crap device. New Blur runs smoothly and without issues, and actually does enhance the user experience with customization options that stock Android doesn't have.
49. luis_lopez_351 (Posts: 951; Member since: 18 Nov 2010)
thats because they took off all the crap that made motoblur... motoblur. Now its just simple like LG's Custom UI which is close to stock/vanilla UI.
51. Sniggly (Posts: 7227; Member since: 05 Dec 2009)
No, they left the essentials, like the social networking integration and widgets. They just didn't make it as in your face, and streamlined the processes so they didn't take up so much RAM.
52. Thump3rDX17 (Posts: 2160; Member since: 10 May 2010)
..pretty much like LG's custom UI. xD
23. GALAXY-S (Posts: 701; Member since: 07 Jun 2011)
hmm GSM radios?? pretty impressive... so now i have to in my list Galaxy-s2 or the phantom????
34. DroidLover (unregistered)
what are the chances the camera can be updated so it can record 1080p?
36. Tybalt (unregistered)
oh ya, and the bionic = 4g.. its the x2 on mark mcguire-like steroids... however... once the devs unlock the potential of the evo 3d (and free up some internal mem/storage..... that phone will be simply uncontested.. except for the network speeds inevitably trumped by..... LTE.. shouldnt have had to say it
37. rshackindian (Posts: 21; Member since: 11 Apr 2009)
YEAH!!!! the return of the "kickstand"!!!!
39. spectre1006 (Posts: 54; Member since: 27 Apr 2011)
Sux that the bootloader is locked... I was hoping they got rid of that already
41. kingjr243 (Posts: 31; Member since: 06 Jun 2011)
this better not come out before the Bionic
