Motorola: No July 11th event was ever planned

What if everyone came to a media event that never existed? Everyone has expected Motorola to hold an event on July 11th, but on Monday the company announced that there is no event; even a rumored private event that was rumored to be taking place on Thursday has been denied by the wholly owned Google subsidiary...

They never said anything about an event. That was all rumor and speculation.
PA you'd think after the whole fiasco with the Sony Nexus rumors you'd learn never to put so much credibility in rumors.

Now with that finally over, next we'll hear the Moto X and the XI numeral meaning a November announcement/release!
One thing I really don't like about PA is that they don't always make it evident that it is a rumor in the title. 'The Moto X will have X' when we don't know a darn thing for sure. Even if they do use words like 'may' and 'suggests' the whole article is written as if everything is set in stone.
It's a habit very unbecoming of a news writer...

So Moto what is the point of that ad? Moto's Mind: "Hey look people are actually interested in us for the first time in years, lets run a ad, get their hopes up with leaks and than say No man whats wrong with you people we don't have anything new.. go away people".

Of course they shouldn't hold an event that day, they'll get overshadowed by Nokia's Zoom event in NYC!

Very well said! I genuinely believe that if ever they decided to hold an event at the same day the EOS will be unveiled, Nokia, undoubtedly, will eclipse them.. Hahahaha..
