Motorola Moto G now available on-line from Verizon, priced at $99.99

The Verizon branded Motorola Moto G has already been available from Best Buy. But starting today, Big Red is offering the value smartphone online for $99.99. Competing with the hugely popular entry-level Nokia Lumia 520/521, the Moto G price does not require a signed contract. There are some caveats, as you might suspect. The phone works only on Verizon's pre-paid network which means that the device runs on 3G and does not support 4G LTE service...

One of the best deals you can get for a prepaid phone. If you don't mind being on 3G only, I don't see any reason not to get this phone.

All Verizon Prepaid is 3G anyway. So far and away the best deal on Verizon for prepaid.

I brought one last night. For people that need Verizon coverage on prepaid, this is great. I use Verizon network on Straight Talk for 15 months. I had service in and out of city limits. Can't do that with T-Mobile or AT&T where I live.

It's important to understand that this is STRICTLY PREPAID. If you have a regular Verizon account, you CAN NOT buy this and then put your Verizon number on it (to replace a phone, for example). Verizon will only activate this on prepaid, which is BS. Every other provider lets you do whatever you want with the Moto G. AT&T lets you use the Moto G or prepaid Nokia 521 (or any other phone) however you want. Same with T-Mobile. Another reason I HATE VERIZON!

This policy is nothing new. Try putting a Boost mobile phone on sprint and you will get the same result. And please point me in the direction of the prepaid moto g for at&t, I would love to purchase one!

Someone mentioned you can, but you have to stay on prepaid for 6 months first.

The is the downside to the low price. Another downside is the phone is LOCKED and you can't use it on Page Plus or another Verizon MVNO.
If you don't use a lot of data, you can get the $50 plan using specially marked Walmart $50 top-up. You get unlimited talk & text but 1 GB of data for $50 a month. Extra MB of data is pricey at 5 cents per MB.
Once you are on the $50 plan, the next you do us buy the top up cards at a discount. Target red card gives you 5% off plus Targets will sell top up cards at 10% off during some sales. I bought over $1,000 in top up cards per year at 15% discount using this approach.

The moto g is even cheaper then an iPod touch, but offers you more features. The iPhone 5s offers you a slow motion video camera. The moto g has slow motion video camera as well. You also get an FM radio with the moto g. No iPhone or iPod offer any water resistance at all. The moto g has a water resistant coating. The moto g has a higher resolution display. I would buy a moto g over an iPod any day of the week.
