Earlier on Tuesday, we told you that those Motorola DROID Ultra, Motorola DROID Maxx and Motorola DROID Mini owners who had agreed to participate in the upcoming soak test, would receive their update sometime on Tuesday; the update contains improvements to the camera including speedier focusing, more consistent exposure, improved white balance and HDR improvements...

I just checked for the update. Nothing. I'm glad we're finally getting the camera update a month and a half after the Moto X... I'll be expecting the Kit Kat update by the time the NBA finals are going on, then. I don't like iOS but man when it's out it's out, not this wait months and months for it crap. I miss having a heavily developed for phone, we got the newest software before most of the Nexus line got it. Ridiculous.

I got the soak update on Tuesday because I'm on the list and then another update today that adds NFL Mobile, Google Drive, Google Play Games,Quickoffice.
I just want 4.4

Getting a kitkat from the store is easier than getting a timely kitkat update from Motorola.

My god do you ever shut up? We get it you had a bad experience, but if Motorola was a woman, you'd be considered a stalker. We've all had bad consumer experiences, but I've never seen someone put as much energy into hating them as you do. You don't like Motorola, fine. No one forced you to read these articles. Besides, this article is about an update for the camera and a few other things, not KitKat. As far as them getting a timely KK update, what other phone besides the Nexus 5 which launched with it has KK on it. None. The announcement was a week ago for Pete's sake. Try using your brain for something other than to fill the space between your ears.

No, most of us (satisfied Motorola owners) are sick of you posting on every Motorola article about how crappy their customer service is, how our phones will never get updated, your inane refrain that the Moto X was vaporware... all based on your personal bad experience from years ago.
There's a big difference between bitterness and exasperation. You are a hater, a troll, and a broken record. Shoo.

You absolutely insinuated it though. No, you never used the word "vaporware", but you repeatedly compared the Moto X to the Etna Bionic, saying it was all rumors, in spite of convincing evidence and consistent leaks. The phone arrived as expected. Your claims were ultimately invalid.
You're entitled to your own opinions, but you're not entitled to your own reality.

The bionic got released so I don't see where you're getting vapor ware from. Those were rumors and speculation. I don't think you have a legitimate complaint.

I'm not wasting my time sifting through every Moto X article to retrieve your comments, but you definitely typed the phrase "it's the Bionic all over again." You were referring to the Bionic being announced, then delayed, then cancelled, then released 5 months late. None of which happened to the Moto X.
Look, I have no problem with people posting pure opinion here. I have a problem with people posting something unfounded as if it's truth. And I have a big problem with haters, whether they hate on Motorola, Apple, or Nokia. Enjoy your chosen device and we'll enjoy ours.

Oh that's rich! I'm bitter but you're the one posts on EVERY Motorola article apparently because you were unlucky enough to buy the Droid Bionic and had a horrible experience with it. "Hello kettle, this is the pot, you're black". I'm sorry bit anyone who couldn't see that the Bionic had major issues got what they deserved. A phone announced in January of 2011 and scheduled for launch in May, then has to have the entire phone scrapped, with a compete redesign in 4 months (September)? Stevie Wonder saw that coming. Adding insult to injury was them releasing the Droid RAZR a month later. And because of that one little boy will hate Motorola forever, so sad.
BTW, to be proven true, you need a valid point, and the fact is that no phone has been updated to KK so to call them out is ridiculous. Looking at how fast Moto has been pushing updates recently, I would say that you can't really judge them on past performance alone. If you do that, you'll never see them improve. You could be skeptical, but be open to see how they've improved.
As far as me being bitter, No. Extremely annoyed, Yes. It's a broken record with you, "Apple good, Moto BAD". Now say that in a Frankenstein voice and that's a summary of your posts, Apple can do no wrong, Moto can do no right. You're so one sided you might as well be a picture.

And his complaints are not the typical "Apple good, Android laggy/buggy/fragmented." It's all about his beef against Motorola. Which, as you said, is based on the Bionic and not much else. Yes, the Bionic was a fiasco. And I work with a guy who bought one (after the Razr came out, no less) and then had problems with software updates. That did not dissuade me from buying the Maxx this year though, because _it's been two years_. I judge them on their track record with the Moto X, the Razr HD, and the Razr, in that order. Live in the now.

We don't. I deliberately left antennagate out of my argument because I know you like to cry hypocrisy. Again, I'm focusing on the here and now.
I have complaints about Apple, and they are entirely factual. The iPhone is expensive and cannot be placed on sale. iPhone's 4" screen is comparatively smaller than everything else out there. The iPhone 5 lacks a dedicated LTE antenna, so Verizon users cannot talk and surf like they can on most LTE phones. Those are facts. They factored into my personal decision not to buy an iPhone. I don't troll about those complaints on Apple articles though.

Yes you one thing, basically the same thing, over and over again. If it's Motorola, we're gonna get crap for updates. You chime in with the same stuff on nearly every article about them. The fact that Motorola is still around seems to mean they're doing something right.
And please, enlighten me of some of the ridiculous things I say. Better yet, just one. I would love to find out what I have been posting that you deem ridiculous.

BTW, I don't suppose you saw the article about how Moto is hard at work on the 4.4 KK update for their phones. The article is for the T-Mobile version of the Moto X, but as with this update, they got it first, followed by AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon. I noticed an absence of any comments from you in that article, why is that?

We know what you're thinking. "Will my device receive an upgrade? When? How?" Never fear...all the information's right here.
This device will be upgraded to KitKat (Android 4.4)
Do you have the latest Motorola software? Find out.
Receive emails when software updates are available for your device.
What can I say? That's all I need to know. Maybe sometime this winter. No big deal, I love my phone. It runs smooth and without major problems. I can wait patiently for KitKat.

I am part of the soak test but have a different device on my account which is a Droid Razr 16GB. Just updated my device yesterday and got the new update. I love the new update, the camera doesn't have much problems and does well with the balance in the colors for the phone now. I can slightly see a bit better difference in the coloring of the phone, a picture of my daughter while she was moving actually was a bit smoother than I thought it would of been.
The Droid Ultra even was given the extra space for Google Drive meaning that I can store more documents for work and files for transfers. The phone also came with the new apps like Brewski stated and they run nice on the phone without much lag but that doesn't mean much right now.
So far so good on my end for the update.
