I heard that too. Except it was with the Evo LTE, but it's the same thing just +200 mAh difference in battery. PhoneDog said it easily went through a day and about half way through the second day; and with standby time, he (Aaron) said he left it on his desk for the entire weekend unplugged came back and used it for part of the day Monday before it needed a charge.

So apparently, either HTC is wonderful with standby times or the S4 is wonderful with power management, either way it's nice.

They just read off the spec sheet on that one. I don't think anyone has tested standby time for those 3 devices.

Well I can confirm that my s3 just dropped 1% during an 8 hour standby.
The number seems to be spot on

I see, I ask that because i had the US version with the Snapdragon, and it drain my battery like a vampire sucking the blood out of a human on standby!!! :'( thats why i don't have it and more! And thats why im planning to Get the Note 2.

It's not battery thechive.com they are focusing on, they simply crammed a massive lithium-polymer battery pack in there, sealed it up and called it a day. You can do that kind of thing when you make the battery non user serviceable. Same thinking with the Note II. The phone itself is huge so they have more space to fit a larger battery. In reality, LG is the only one who has made useful advances in battery tech. The Optimus G and Nexus 4 batteries can accept 800 charge cycles instead of the usual 500.

I'm wondering what we may see next year from Motorola. Since most of this year was spent by Google acquiring and restructuring Motorola, I can see minimal updates to the phones over Motorola. They took what was available, concentrated on these three models, and cleaned them up.

The real test to see if Google made a good investment is going to come next year after they've had a year to do research, test, and make some real improvements over Motorola's original Android phones.

I say it again. Moto camera sucks big time. why don't they order those modules from Sony?
