There was a time when the Motorola DROID BIONIC was the most eagerly awaited Android model on the planet after a very successful CES intro; but soon Motorola decided to go in another direction with the phone, which was launched just before the Motorola DROID RAZR which upset a whole number of DROID BIONIC buyers who are happy to hear that the phone will be getting updated to Android 4.1 in the second quarter...

If I recall correctly, pics of the Razr were around at least a month before the Bionic went on sale, they just weren't calling it the Razr yet.
Anyway, I'm gonna pass up on tis update for a while after all the crazyness I've been hearing about on various Razr forums. My Bionic is still running well and 4.1 isn't worth losing that. Hopefully it'll be bug free at launch.

it's hardware, the Droid Bionic is powered by an OMAP4430 w/ 1GB of RAM, pretty much the exact same thing as the Droid Razr and the Galaxy Nexus, the Atrix and the Photon are powered by Nvidia Tegra II's and the only Tegra II device from ANYONE to have gotten updated to 4.1 was the GE Motorola XOOM. why don't you just go ahead and be done with Motorola already and quit complaining?

I no longer use this phone, but it's good that it's going to get JB! It was very reliable and worked fairly well and with out incident. Everyone with a Razr had issues with ICS, but by the time the Bionic got it, it worked just fine and had about zero issues! Hopefully this will be the same.
