Samsung Note is going for $900 to $1,000 as a list price. Also, these are two different products. The Note is tweener not a tablet but a whole lotta cellphone.

meh.

just did a side by side comparison with the bionic and the original X and they are far too similar, imho. sure, the processor and ram upgrades are nice, but without 4G coverage anywhere near me, this is no where close to being the next phone I purchase....

I had the original droid X and i am considering it. dual core, front camera, double ram, 4g which will hopefully be near me in the next 6 months, Hd display, bigger battery which battery life was never a problem with my X. I currently have the charge and although it takes excellent pictures/video and the screen looks great i hate samsungs set up. also it keeps restarting itself about twice a week. I might wait one more month as i have already been waiting to get a new phone since may to see if maybe a new iPhone, droid prime, sg2 or something else may come out by the end of october. Since verizon got rid of you year contracts i have to be more picky with my decisions.

Get the SGS2 or the prime. Even considering it is stupid. It has the same specs as the half of motorola's portfolio save for a few minor differences.

certainly be more picky and certainly wait a bit longer. at least wait until the iphone get announced. there is way too little known about it to make a decision. plus by then, much more will be known about the prime and/or sgsII

First heard about this phone back in January i believe when the tbolt had alot of shine its sad it takes Verizon 9 months to release a phone that is not better than a phone relased 4 months before it (SGS2) The photon pretty much the same phone just not as fast processor was announced and ealeased with 2 months and amonth later this phone comes out not even makin a big impact, For verizon its a good phone cuase there phone are all not so top of theline anymore but if you put it in Sprint Or tmobile line up it wouldnt sell as much, Dan Hesse is right At&T and Verizon do not innovate, They have the worse line up but becuase of popularity and coverage people that know little about phone flock to them, If At&T were to buy tmobile it would be a sad day. TMobile and sprint have the best devicesand release them Quick, The EVO is the first front facing camera 4g big screen 1ghz justa monster phone when it came out, a year later and Bionic barely ups it,

I can't believe Verizon thinks everyone is so dumb. The hardware is outdated before it got here and now they want 300 clams. (What it's worth CLAMS! It stinks!) Then they say no to the SG2 that most have been waiting for. They SG2 blows away the Bionic in performance. I hope they have something up the sleeve because Sprint is looking better all the time.

Verizon can honk its LTE network all it wants but as you many have said the hardware is dated. GS2 will also be dated in a few months at MWC 2012, Samsung will surely debut another faster version of its GS2. There is an LTE version coming to Canada of all places before the U.S. and even Europe. Just a matter of time until the LTE version comes to the States, even if Verizon doesn't want it and opts for the next Google Nexus phone. Not that Nexus S was any better will all the problems with Google Voice and the random rebooting which was patched but happened nonetheless.
