Not bad. With no Galaxy s II coming this really looks great. And it's really thin for a 4g phone. Bout the same thickness as many HTCs.

First heard about this phone back in January i believe when the tbolt had alot of shine its sad it takes Verizon 9 months to release a phone that is not better than a phone relased 4 months before it (SGS2) The photon pretty much the same phone just not as fast processor was announced and ealeased with 2 months and amonth later this phone comes out not even makin a big impact, For verizon its a good phone cuase there phone are all not so top of theline anymore but if you put it in Sprint Or tmobile line up it wouldnt sell as much, Dan Hesse is right At&T and Verizon do not innovate, They have the worse line up but becuase of popularity and coverage people that know little about phone flock to them, If At&T were to buy tmobile it would be a sad day. TMobile and sprint have the best devicesand release them Quick, The EVO is the first front facing camera 4g big screen 1ghz justa monster phone when it came out, a year later and Bionic barely ups it,

What??? SGS2 released 4 months before it? Where could you get it in the US 4 months ago? Even now...it's not 4G LTE. T-Mobil & Sprint may have nice phones, but what about coverage over the entire US? A lot of people need great cell phone coverage...not just to play games and look pretty. Read the reviews...Fastest downloads, Beautiful Screen, Smooth and Fast response, etc., etc.

well looks like the inductive(?) charging was just rumor. That would have been a forward thinking feature, niche I know but cool.

Gorilla glass... I swear I am not getting a phone without it. My OG DROID is completely banged up EVERYWHERE but the glass... Amazing product.

seriously, what's up with this phone being hyped so much when it can't even beat the LG optimus 2X? And it's specs? Every phone of motorola's is the same. Don't understand what all the hype is about. From all that excitement over the last few months, i expected this to have something mind blowing. very very disappointing.

You realize you're comparing a LG to a Moto right? Just about any LG Smartphone that has hit stateside has had some major issue or another. Their UI is about the worst as far as the major UI's go.The LG phones that hit outside of the US are great but for one reason or another about the only LG phone I'll trust inside the borders would be a feature phone at this point.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a crazy moto fanboy or LG hater, I really hope they can deliver some great products in the future, to make all the other companies step up and give us greater devices..

I've owned four Motorola phones now: the V195s, the Motorola Cliq, the Motorola Droid X, and now the Atrix. All have given me excellent treatment, none have died on me yet. The worst issue plaguing any of my phones is a burst battery cell on the X, which is just a battery replacement away from being fixed. I mean, they've all had their minor bugs, tiny annoyances, but that all pales in comparison to the overall performance I've gotten out of them. Even the V195s, which is four years old now, could run perfectly should I choose to start it up and use it. And when I flirted with T-Mobile again a few weeks ago, I activated the Cliq again and it ran like clockwork for my nephew.

So yeah, I've had great luck with Motorola so far, which is why the only non Motorola phone I ever purchased was a Sony Ericcson TM506-okay phone, but I went right back to Moto the minute I could. :)

Well you have to give credit that when this device was originally introduced it was one of the first dual core phones with its qHD screen. But to consumers, Galaxy SII and Optimus 2X beat motorola to it so right now it seems not so mind blowing. Oh well,,,

I don't get it. Isn't this just an Atrix/Photon with LTE thrown on and released way later? Why was everyone so excited about this?

because it was shown like 6 months ago when LTE was something cool and this was supposed to be the first 4G LTE dual core device with capability of docking and turning into a computer, plus it was supposed to be the DX successor. it shows the DX2 wasn't such a good idea

6 months ago this would have been a totally different animal. The Bionic would have been the Moto Etna. With problems to that device this "Bionic" was born from a device Moto planned for a Christmas release. They scaled back some of the planned features like a 13MP camera for one. I have the X and would liked to have something with a different look and feel in my hand and have been waiting since June 3rd. It will have to totally knock my socks tomorrow for it to find it's way into my pocket

Because it's an LTE dual core phone (first of its kind) which just may have battery life which doesn't suck.

BlaH! the phone is hideous and the performance wise is beaten already. How can the ad say that it's "one phone to rule them all" that title as of right now goes to the gs2.

that marketing campaign flies in the states because there's no LTE Galaxy S II here, having LTE connectivity in exchange for a little bit of processing performance is definitely conceivable. for now this is King for being a well rounded and powerful device.

Hmmm a lot of people bragging about the sgsII has this phone beat? I'm not a moto fan but comparing them side by side the only thing that's noticeable is the 1.2 ghz vs 1ghz which I dont really think it would make a difference. The bionic keeps up with it just fine plus it has better resolution and more internal memory. Stop hating and appreciate the fact that this phone will raise the bar in order for consumers to get better products

wow you are serious misinformed: the gs2 is not merely just 1.2 vs 1 ghz the soc itself is superior giving it not only speed but a much more smoother more fluid motion. Just check out the D3 which is very similar to the bionic except for the amount of ram and you will see just how much better the gs2 is. While your at it just look at any youtube video where the GS2 vs ? and you will see that the gs2 running exynos is that much better. As for your screen it's really not better, it runs on qhd so it has better ppi but the super amoled plus has better colors, contrast, and a refresh rate that makes the slcd look last year. Oh and how is it that the bionic have better internal memories? Please do a "little" research before posting up something dumb, i know you have an extremely busy life (sarcasm) that's why you were only was able to make it here and post some nonsense up but try to make it at least somewhat true.

we all realize that the Galaxy S II has a slightly better processor than the Bionic but it's not completely behind it's higher clock speed. it's the only thing available comparable to the Galaxy S II in performance that's all he's saying.

GS2 GS2! That's we hear about on this site. It is an incredible device dont get me wrong. It is probably the best phone in the world right now. However, do any of the US carriers have one available for purchase yet? Nope. This is literally the best phone in verizons lineup right now and one of the best devices a person could buy right now. There will always be something better that's coming out after it. It's called technology.

just got do a test drive of the bionic at corporate headquarters for verizon in bellvue. I have to say that the QHD looks pretty sick. As far as the argument for the gs2. verizon does not get one so there is no compariso. If you want to get a gs2 stateside go to canada and get one from rogers. They have an LTE GS2 that is supposed to be pretty bomb. I am a mot fan but not a fanboy so get it strait. It is a great phone and has an accessory lineup that makes it truly legit. It also has some unique features that the gs2 does not. The only thing that I am waiting for from samsung will be the verizon nexus phone.

Bionic LTE > GS2 HSPA+ WiMAX

Thats the deal breaker for me.

@whatamoron, while I have been drooling over the GS2 coming to America (Verizon), I haven't seen it happen and the chance of BIg Red getting it seems bleek.
How can I debate on which device is faster or smoother if I can't hold it and try it?
