Motorola DROID 3 makes appearance in Verizon's Device Management Pages

The Motorola DROID 3 is coming, which is all the more obvious now that the device has appeared in Verizon's Device Management Pages; with a 4 inch qHD display and a dual-core processor, about the only thing missing from the handset is those three little letters, LTE...

ah yes, this is one i'm actually waiting for, i think i'd rather it not be LTE though, too many LTE kinks and stinky battery life would come with it and tarnish this lusty beauty. i'm glad it'll still have a front facing camera even though it's lacking faster data, it's something i'd probably only have time to use when i'm near a place with wi-fi anyway.

I'll give a thumbs up to Motorola for continuing to pay respect to the phone that started it all by keeping the Droid line going, and for not letting it stagnate entirely. I will call shenanigans, however, if after all this time and bitching about every Android phone that doesn't come to market with an LTE radio in reviews and otherwise, you don't do the same for the iPhone 4S/5.

Why would you be upset if they don't bitch about the next iPhone not having it when Apple has all but said officially it won't have it. I'm not being a fanboy or anything here, I'm being impartial when I ask this. I'm just curious because it isnt expected.

I get thumbed down for asking a fair question? I'm actually more surprised that pa is bitching about no lte when they reported a while ago that the droid 3 and droid x will have no lte. They knew it was coming so why bitch?

For the exact reason you named: Motorola never claimed or set any expectation that the X and 3 would be LTE. That was reserved for the Targa and Etna. So if, after the same expectations are set for Android phones and the iPhone, and "no LTE" is a complaint about the Android phones but not the iPhone, that's when I'll call shenanigans. Have I explained more clearly?

Yep. Good enough answer for me.

Good. I hate when I don't make myself clear. Thank you for speaking up. :)

PA should get over the fact that it isn't lte considering that they gave both the charge and revolution 7.5/8 scores really goes to show you that faster internet speeds don't make a phone great. Its nice to have but until they work out the lyrics issues, I am glad that it isn't lte. All of the lte phones have issues connecting to lte, connecting to 3g and have bad battery life. Not to mention the 250/300 dollar price tags.

I would love to see they take old school and just have stock gingerbread on it but I already know that's not going to happen. Based on the leaked photos it has the same menu, home, back, and search keys like blur phones have.

Definitely not worse than the iPhone's auto correct. I swear, from looking at Damnyouautocorrect, that Jobs had Apple program autocorrect to use the "dirtiest" words possible in every text. Not to mention that the phone doesn't autocorrect on a word to word basis, but on a sentence to sentence basis, which is why so many people miss autocorrect mistakes on the phone.

Sorry bro totally incorrect. It has a built in spell check that checks words as you type. Underlines typos in red too. That's of course when you choose to disregard the autocorrects suggestion, which does pop up word by word as you make mistakes.

Don't mean to make it look like I'm picking on you in this article, I'm just setting the record straight.

Sorry, I was going off of a dude's complaint in a damnyouautocorrect screenshot. I apologize for my mistake.

i just turn it off and go old school with it. all of the auto-correcting with the exception of Swype drives me nuts. xD

Lol, autocorrect can be a lifesaver for me. It only ever became a bother when I was using an instant messenger, because I was typing and posting faster than normal.

i'm telling you, Keyboards FTW! no processor telling you how fast you can type, no smudges, no small screen real estate, just you and the keys typing as fast as you are able, ahhhh, pure freedom. oh and i know typing on the Droid X is alright but i live the keyboard way of life my man. xD

Yea as much aa I love touch screens for youtube, web browsing, etc
Testing has always been annoying at times. Sometimes its fine but others you just can't seem to type at all. I would love to have a 4+ inch display with a slide out keyboard. And since sprints network is horrible where I live. Finally Verizon is getting one of their own.

I have no doubt that the droid 3 is coming. but as for the screenshot, what search credentials were entered to find this device? either the search field should show, or the actual results and details screen would show....either a fake screen shot or exact information as to how this was found was removed

This is no fake. That's the real deal, no need to enter a search to get to this screen.
