Motorola DEXT hits the shelves in the UK tomorrow
Sometimes we think the presence of Orange in the UK makes up for the nasty weather. Thanks to the carrier, the lucky British customers are almost always the first across the world to get their hands on the best smartphones. That´s exactly the case with Motorola´s first Android-based handset – the DEXT (also known as the CLIQ in the US) that runs the manufacturer´s personalized interface called MOTOBLUR. The cell phone will be available throughout the carrier´s retail network as of tomorrow, 7 October for £0.00 if you sign up for a two-year monthly plan of £34.26. Moreover, Phones4U are to release the Motorola DEXT a day later, on 8 October, although neither company has plans to sell the phone on a pay as you go basis, at least in the beginning, meaning a contract is the only option available to people who want to get the phone right away.

If you feel like being among the first to get their hands on the Motorola DEXT, you better head for Milton Keynes, where Orange opens up their first multimedia store across the UK at 3pm local time - the new Android-based device will be on sale exclusively at this store.
