Just last night I downloaded and updated both of my Atrix's and one of them died after updated AT&T will replace it at no charge.
Update actually went well I was not able to log on to my moto blur account kept saying clock is wrong on the device it would not let me log in I went to restart and never came back up (: same thing happened to surviving one I kept trying to log in without restarting until I got to log in it is working now.
Just be very careful when you are updating you Atrix.
And quite honestly I did not see much performance increase but it looks much much better and more futures..............

Battery life is worse after the update. Smartbench 2011 benchmarks 3007cpu 2736gpu. The gpu score is slightly higher then what's achieved on froyo. Cpu is about the same maybe slightly higher if it scores consistently around 3000. Btw that gpu score is about 250 points higher then a gs2 overclocked to 1.5ghz. Tegra2 simply has the best gpu hands down.

Atrix does not record in 1080i or 1080p. Only record up 720p. Ugh.

Updated my Atrix. Best part is it is 2.3.4. Yes!!! I was worried it was going to be the more common 2.3.3.

Update My Atrix directly from the Motorola Software Program to get 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). First glance, I love the UI. Its a very great improvement from the original Motoblur that came with the Atrix out-the-box. Screen animations are really good and snappy.

Pro's: Upgrade has applied some great stock app icons to the UI. You now have the TV Tube Sleep feature like the Nexus S. Not much Bloatware as well. The phone now as the ability to set profiles like Blackberry for work and pleasure. Unknown Sources option is available now. Motorola has carried over the ability to re-size widgets on the home screen. The status bar is now a dark blue (which is real nice) and the WIFI, signal, and network status have changed to the better as well.

Con's: Lock Screen now say AT&T right above the time, as well as the Status Bar. The dock of the new UI is slightly the same as Samsung's Touchwiz. I have experienced a little bit of lag switching from screen to screen and apps but nothing thats a deal breaker. There are no special or really amazing stock widgets available.

Thanks for the mini-review. I wish all PA readers did this on major updates. I trust user opinions more than most web-site reviews.

I would buy a second unit right away if
- the sound was any good (terrible and they can't fix that with a software upgrade)
- characters needs to be a little bick thicker. I am on google all the time..

I am going to wait and see if the iphone5 can be any better

As it is with this upgrade this phone is a near masterpiece
It is incredibly fast, faster than my laptop
I think it is future proof with such a fast processor and future upgrades
First cell phone worth paying for data
