Most of HTC's Android handsets released in 2010 will receive Android 2.2 this year
Upon learning about Google's intentions of releasing Android 2.2 Froyo this year, some people out there became just a tiny bit hesitant in the notion of picking up one of HTC's latest Android phones such as the HTC Droid Incredible or soon-to-be available HTC EVO 4G. These devices may be the most up-to-date Android smartphones packing some serious heat under the hood, but now it looks like most of them will be getting treated to Froyo before the year is over. HTC looks to be adamant in bringing out the new platform to most of their existing lineup of handsets that were released in 2010 – so things like the HTC Droid Eris or aging T-Mobile G1 may be out of the mix. However, upcoming handsets like the T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide and HTC EVO 4G are looking to brighter futures already as it's expected for Froyo's arrival to come some time during the “second half of the year.” Now that your mind is at rest, you can keep up on saving some cash to spend it on one of these HTC Android phones being released this year without the worry of being too obsolete.
