There was a really bad movie that had aspects of issues that occur like this (the ripple effect), I think it was called Branded or something like that (had to be drunk to watch it), pretty accurate in its thought process for Brands and how the smallest notions can have huge damaging effect's.

Needless to say, I actually played with the BB10 phone in store, and while I like it hands over fist VS the previous BB release's... they shoulda just gone Android and built out the BB Framework to overlay the system (not in the bad UI sense like... sense... and touch wiz and BLUR, but the comm's).

Yep, it was Branded. I thought it was pretty funny, and very topical.

Companies (and government agencies) generally want to know their partners (whether IT or e-mail or whatever they are going to be relying on for mission-critical functions) are going to be around for at least 10 years. BB may not be around in 3 years. 3 years is not going to cut it for someone considering deploying a mission-critical solution.

Buh-bye BB/RIM.

Microsoft is probably courting the hell out of everyone who's used BB for enterprise work lately. "Oh, you want your phones to seamlessly integrate with your computers ? Here ya go!"
